362 The wise should ponder even the words of the noble, what to speak of the words of women who are worthy of being renounced? ________________ ३६२ महापुराणम् प्रार्याणामपि वाग्भूयो विचार्या कार्यवेदिभिः। वायाः किं पुनर्नार्याः कामिनां का विचारणा ॥११४॥ भवेऽस्मिन्नेव भव्योऽयं भविष्यति भवान्तकः। तन्नास्य भयमन्येभ्यो भयमेतद्धयैषिणाम् ॥११॥ अहं कुतः कुतो धर्मः संसर्गादस्य सोऽप्यभूत् । ममेह मुक्तिपर्यन्तो नान्यत् सत्सङगमाद्धितम् ॥११६॥ इत्यनु ध्याय निःकोपः कृतवेदी' जयं स्वयम् । रत्नरनयः सम्पूज्य स्वप्रपञ्चं निगद्य च ॥११७॥ मां स्वकार्य स्मरेत्युक्त्वा स्वावास प्रत्यसौ गतः । हन्ताऽत्यूजितपुण्यानां भवत्यभ्युदयावहः ॥११॥ स चक्रिणा सहाक्रम्य दिक्चक्रं व्यक्तविक्रमः । क्रमान्नियम्य व्यायाम' संयमीव शमं श्रितः ॥११॥ ज्वलत्प्रतापः सौम्योऽपि निर्गुणोऽपि गुणाकरः । सुसर्वाङगोऽप्यनङगाभः सुखेन स्वपुरे स्थितः ॥१२०॥ अथ देशोऽस्ति विस्तीर्णः काशिस्तत्रैव विश्रुतः। पिण्डीभूता भयात्काललुण्टाकादिव भोगभूः॥१२१॥ तदापि खलु विद्यन्ते कल्पवल्लीपरिष्कृताः। द्रुमाः कल्पद्रुमाभासाश्चित्रास्तत्र क्वचित् क्वचित् ॥१२२॥ तत्रैवाभीष्टमावर्य' 'यत्तत्रैवानुभूयते। सर तज्जेतेति निःशङकं शडके स्वर्गापवर्गयोः ॥१२३॥ मारनेकी इच्छा करनेवाला वह नागकुमार अपने मनमें कहने लगा कि देखो उस स्त्रीके पाप छिपानेसे ही मुझ पापीने इस पापका चिन्तवन किया है ॥११३॥ कार्य के जाननेवाले पुरुषों को सज्जनोंके वचनोंपर भी एक बार पूनः विचार करना चाहिये फिर त्याग करने योग्य स्त्रियों के वचनोंकी तो बात ही क्या है ? उनपर तो अवश्य ही विचार करना चाहिये परन्तु कामी जनोंको यह विचार कहाँ हो सकता है ? ॥११४॥ यह भव्य जीव इसी भवमें संसार का नाश करनेवाला होगा, इसलिये इसे अन्य लोगोंसे कुछ भय होनेवाला नहीं है बल्कि जो इसे भय देना चाहते हैं उन्हें ही यह भय है ॥११५।। मैं कहाँ ? और यह धर्म कहाँ ? यह धर्म भी मुझे इसीके संसर्गसे प्राप्त हुआ है इसलिये इस संसारमें मुझे मोक्ष प्राप्त होनेतक सज्जनोंके समागम के सिवाय अन्य कुछ कल्याण करनेवाला नहीं है ॥११६॥ ऐसा विचारकर वह नागकुमार क्रोधरहित हुआ, उपकारको जानकर उसने अमूल्य रत्नोंसे स्वयं जयकुमारकी पूजा की, उसे मारने आदिके जो विचार हए थे वे सब उससे कहे और अपने कार्यमें मझे स्मरण स्मरण करना इस प्रकार कहकर वह अपने स्थानको लौट गया सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि जिसका पुण्य तेज है उसका मारनेवाला भी कल्याण करनेवाला हो जाता है ॥११७-११८।। व्यक्त पराक्रमको धारण करनेवाला वह जयकुमार चक्रवर्ती भरत महाराजके साथ साथ सब दिशाओंपर आक्रमण कर और अनुक्रमसे इधर उधरका फिरना बन्द कर संयमीके समान शान्तभावका आश्रय करने लगा ॥११९॥ जो सौम्य होनेपर भी प्रज्वलित प्रतापका धारक था, निर्गुण (गुणरहित, पक्ष में सबमें मुख्य) होकर भी गुणाकर (गुणोंकी खानि) था और सुसर्वाङ्ग (जिसके सब अंग सुन्दर हैं ऐसा) होकर भी अनङ्गाभ (शरीररहित, पक्षमें कामदेवके समान कान्तिवाला) था ऐसा वह जयकुमार सखसे अपने नगरमें निवास करता था ॥१२०॥ __अथानन्तर-इसी भरतक्षेत्रमें एक प्रसिद्ध और बहुत बड़ा काशी नामका देश है जो कि ऐसा विदित होता है मानो कालरूपी लुटेरेके भयसे भोगभूमि ही आकर एक जगह एकत्रित हो गई हो ॥१२१॥ वहांपर कहीं कहीं उस समय भी कल्पलताओंसे घिरे हुए कल्पवृक्षोंके समान अनेक प्रकारके वृक्ष विद्यमान थे ॥१२२॥ चूंकि अपनी अभीष्ट वस्तुओंको प्राप्त कर उनका उपभोग उसी देशमें किया जाता था इसलिये मैं ऐसा समझता हूँ कि वह काशीदेश १ कृतज्ञः । २ घातकः । ३ निरुद्ध्य । विविधव्यापारमिति शेषः । त्यक्त्वा विविधव्यापारमित्यर्थः । ४ विविधगमनम्। ५ अप्रधानरहितोऽपि । “गणोऽप्रधाने रूपादी मौयां शूके वृकोदरे। शुभे सत्त्वादिसन्ध्यादिविद्यादिहरितादिषु" इत्यभिधानात् । ६ भरतक्षेत्र। ७ दुःकालचोरात् सञ्जातात् । ८ स्वीकृत्य। ६ यस्मात् कारणात् । १० देशे। ११ देशः । १२ तस्मात् कारणात् । Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
