## Thirty-fourth Chapter
361
Poison is behind the scorpion (on its tail) and in front of the snake (in its mouth). For women with wicked desires, poison is everywhere, a poison of poisons. ||104||
Like deceitful scriptures, those who are not deceived by the false appearances of women, who are not fooled by their deceitful ways, are the beloved of liberation. ||105||
What can be said about their anger? Even their grace is terrifying. Like the depths of a river, it drowns those who enter. ||106||
"With tricks and illusions," they deceive the simple villagers. But women deceive even Indra, along with Brihaspati, the king of the gods. They are the mothers of illusion. ||107||
Virtues do not even seek refuge in women. If, out of fear of their own destruction, they do seek refuge, they do not stay for long. And even if they stay for a while, they are ultimately destroyed. ||108||
What about their faults? Are they their very nature? Or do faults arise from women? Or are women born from faults? No one in this world has a definite answer. ||109||
Even the Supreme Being cannot distinguish between the virtuous and the wicked, but women do so effortlessly. ||110||
Liberation is virtuous, eternal, and free from faults. But women are full of faults and fickle. Perhaps this is why they are not considered to attain liberation in the scriptures of the Arhats. ||111||
My dear, just as the Kalpavriksha is rare among vines, so too are Lakshmi, Saraswati, fame, liberation, and you, renowned among women, extremely rare. ||112||
Hearing all this, Jayakumar, filled with murderous intent, thought to himself, "This wicked woman has planned a wicked deed. I will speak wickedly to her." ||113||
It is a suitable path, but women buy dharma and love with money. Therefore, their increased greed is to be condemned. ||103||
