सप्तविंशतितम पर्व
हरिणीप्रेक्षितेष्वेताः पश्यन्ति सकुतूहलम् । स्वां नेत्रशोभा कामिन्यो बहिबर्हेषु मूर्धजान् ॥७॥ इत्यनाकुलमेवेदं संन्यैरप्याकुलीकृतम् । वनमालक्ष्यते विश्वग् असम्बाधमगद्विजम् ॥७९॥ जरठोऽप्यातपो नायम् इहास्मान् देव बाधते । वने महातरुच्छाया नैरन्तर्यानुबन्धिनि ॥८॥ इमे वन[मा भान्ति सान्द्रच्छाया मनोरमाः । त्वद्भक्त्य' वनलक्ष्म्येव मण्डपा विनिवेशिताः॥८॥ सरस्यः स्वच्छसलिला वारितोष्णास्तटब्रुमैः। स्थापिता वनलक्ष्म्येव प्रपा भान्ति क्लमच्छिंदः ॥८२॥ बहवाणासनाकीर्णमिदं खगिभिराततम् । सहा स्तिकमपर्यन्तं वनं युष्मद्वलायते ॥८॥ इत्थं वनस्य सामृद्ध्यं निरूपयति सारयौ। वनभूमिमतीयाय सम्राडविदितान्तराम्॥४॥ तदाश्वीयखरोद्धाता उत्थिता वनरणवः । दिशा मुखेषु संलग्नाः तेनुर्यवनिकाश्रियम् ॥८॥ सादिना वारवाणानि" स्यूतान्यपि सितांशुकः । काषायाणीव जातानि ततानि वनरेणुभिः॥८६॥ वनरेणुभिरालग्नः जटीभूतानि योषितः । स्तनांशकानि कृच्छे ण बधुरध्वश्रमालसाः ॥८७॥ कुम्भस्थलीषु संसक्ताः करिणामध्वरेणवः । सिन्दूरश्रियमातेनुः धातुभूमिसमुत्थिताः ॥८॥
से एक ओर नहीं हट रहा है ॥७७॥ ये स्त्रियां हरिणियोंके नेत्रोंमें अपने नेत्रोंकी शोभा बड़े कौतूहलके साथ देख रही हैं और हरिणोंकी पूंछोंमें अपने केशोंकी शोभा निहार रही हैं ॥७८॥ जिसमें हरिण पक्षी आदि सभी जीव एक दूसरेको बाधा किये बिना ही निवास कर रहे हैं ऐसा यह वन यद्यपि सैनिकोंके द्वारा व्याकुल किया गया है तथापि आकुलतासे रहित ही प्रतीत हो रहा है ॥७९॥ हे देव, जो बड़े बड़े वृक्षोंकी घनी छायासे सदा सहित रहता है ऐसे इस वनमें रहनेवाले हम लोगोंको यह तीव्र घाम कुछ भी बाधा नहीं कर रहा है ॥८०॥ ये घनी छाया वाले वनके मनोहर वृक्ष ऐसे जान पड़ते हैं मानो बनलक्ष्मीने आपकी भक्ति (सेवा) करनेके लिये मण्डप ही लगा रक्खे हों ॥८१॥ किनारे परके वृक्षोंसे जिनकी सब गर्मी दूर कर दी गई है ऐसे स्वच्छ जलसे भरे हुए ये छोटे छोटे तालाब ऐसे मालूम होते हैं मानो वनलक्ष्मीने क्लेश दूर करनेवाली प्याऊ ही स्थापित की हों ॥८२॥ हे प्रभो, यह वन आपकी सेना के समान जान पड़ता है क्योंकि जिस प्रकार आपकी सेना बहुतसे बाणासन अर्थात् धनुषोंसे व्याप्त है उसी प्रकार यह वन भी बाण और असन जातिके वक्षोंसे व्याप्त है, जिस प्रका की सेना खड्गी अर्थात् तलवार धारण करनेवाले सैनिकोंसे भरी हुई है उसी प्रकार यह वन भी खड्गी अर्थात् गेंडा हाथियोंसे भरा हुआ है, जिस प्रकार आपकी सेना हाथियोंके समूहसे सहित है उसी प्रकार यह वन भी हाथियोंके समहसे सहित है और जिस प्रकार आपकी सेनाका अन्त नहीं दिखाई देता उसी प्रकार इस वनका भी अन्त नहीं दिखाई देता ॥८३॥ इस प्रकार सारथिके वनकी समृद्धिका वर्णन करते रहनेपर सम्राट भरत उस वनभूमिको इस तरह पार कर गये कि उन्हें उसकी लम्बाईका पता भी नहीं चला ।।८४।। उस समय घोड़ोंके समूहके खुरों के आघातसे उठी हुई वनकी धूलि समस्त दिशाओंमें व्याप्त होकर परदेकी शोभा धारण कर रही थी ॥८५॥ घुडसवारोंके कवच, यद्यपि ऊपरसे सफेद वस्त्रोंसे ढके हुए थे तथापि वनकी धूलिसे व्याप्त होने के कारण ऐसे मालूम पड़ते थे मानो कषाय रंगसे रंगे हुए ही हों ।।८६।। मार्गक परिश्रमसे अलसाती हई स्त्रियां वनकी धलि लगनेसे भारी हए स्तन ढंकनेवाले वस्त्रों को बड़ी कठिनाईसे धारण कर रही थीं ॥८७॥ गेरू रंगकी भूमिसे उठी हुई मार्गकी धूलि
