The Mahapurana, which describes the dependent nature of the worldly being, also illustrates the independence of the liberated soul through its teachings. ||10|| This example of the worldly being is considered to be the ideal in the eyes of the omniscient. Thus, the independence of the liberated soul is revealed. ||1|| For example, in the cycle of existence, the embodied being is never independent. Due to the bondage of karma, it lives dependent on others. ||2|| Therefore, its dependence is established. This being also exhibits fickleness due to the endurance of pain, pleasure, etc. ||83|| The state of being agitated by pain, pleasure, etc. should be understood as fickleness. The being's perishable nature is known due to the decay of the powers attained in the state of being a god, etc. ||4|| The being's subjection is due to the experience of punishment, harsh words, etc. Its knowledge is limited because it is derived from the senses and is subject to decay. ||85|| Its perception is also limited because it is derived from the senses. Its seed is also of the same nature, i.e., limited, because its bodily strength is very weak. ||86|| Its happiness is also mostly of this nature, i.e., derived from the senses.
