Chapter Forty-One
316. Having reached the great banner of the Vārivasya, the fragrant hut, which was established in the three worlds, he saw the Lord. Filled with devotion, he bowed down to him. ||25||
Seeing the Lord, who was worshipped by the gods, demons, gandharvas, siddhas, and vidyadharas, Bharata, filled with devotion, bowed down to him. ||26||
Having praised the Lord with hymns and worshipped him according to the proper procedure, he sat down in his proper place, thirsty for the nectar of Dharma. ||27||
As he bowed down to the Lord's lotus feet with devotion, the knowledge of the pure outcome of his actions arose in him. ||28||
Having drunk the nectar of Dharma, he attained supreme satisfaction. With a loud voice, he declared his intention to the Lord. ||29||
"O Lord, I have created learned Brahmanas who are skilled in the conduct of the Shravakas and who follow the path of the teachings, the hymns, and the sutras. ||30||
"O Lord, I have given them the sacred thread, the symbol of the vows, from one to eleven, according to the divisions of the qualities and the grounds. ||31||
"O Lord, you are the one who has created the entire world of Dharma. While you are present, I have done this out of my great foolishness. ||32||
"O Lord, what is the fault in this creation of Brahmanas? What is the merit? Is it appropriate or not? My mind is swinging like a pendulum. Please establish it in certainty. ||33||
"Furthermore, O Lord, last night I saw sixteen dreams. It seems to me that these dreams are likely to bring about unfavorable results. ||34||
"O Supreme Lord, I present to you the dreams as I saw them. Please make the results of those dreams the subject of my understanding. ||35||
