Thus, the king of the Bharata dynasty, who has conquered through Dharma, who is skilled in religious practices, and who is devoted to Dharma, established the creation of the Brahmana caste, witnessing the good vows of those excellent Brahmanas. (221)
These Brahmanas, who have received the honor from the king of the Bharatas, whose character is beautiful and generous due to their knowledge of vows, who are learned in the scriptures, and who are worshipped by following the teachings of the Jina Vrishabha, have gained great fame in the world. (222)
Having established these Brahmanas, who are firmly established in the Jain path, the king of the Ikshvaku dynasty, the jewel of the crown, honored them daily. Seeing his own creation, which has attained excellence and is filled with joy, who is the virtuous man who would not consider himself fulfilled? (223)
Thus ends the fortieth chapter of the Trishattilakshana Mahapurana, composed by the venerable Jinasena Acharya, which describes the rituals and mantras in the origin of Brahmanas.
