In the case of a lost month or an extra month, or on a waning lunar day, wise people do not desire the initiation ceremony for those seeking liberation. ||16|| "One who disregards the tradition and initiates someone on such a day, should be expelled by the virtuous, as he is eager to transgress the elders." ||16|| "The Yogindras have declared twenty-seven sutra-pada (principles) in this Parivajaya (asceticism). When these are fulfilled, the true nature of Parivajaya is revealed." ||162|| "The twenty-seven sutra-pada are: jati (birth), murti (form), the characteristics of the one residing in it, beautiful body, prabha (radiance), mandala (circle), chakra (wheel), abhisheka (ablution), nathata (lordship), simhasana (throne), upadhana (garment), chatra (umbrella), chamara (fly whisk), ghoshana (proclamation), ashoka tree, nidhi (treasure), griha-shobha (beauty of the house), avagahan (bathing), kshetrajna (knower of the field), aajna (command), sabha (assembly), kirti (fame), vandaniya (worthy of worship), vahana (vehicle), bhasha (language), aahar (food), and sukha (happiness)." ||163-165|| "These twenty-seven sutra-pada, starting with jati, are the qualities of the Paramesthis (supreme beings). One should accept initiation without paying attention to these qualities in oneself." ||166|| "Even though one is born in a noble family, one should serve the feet of the Arhant with humility. By doing so, one will attain the four jatis: Divya, Vijayashrita, Parama, and Swa, in the next birth." ||167|| "Indra has the Divya jati, Chakravartis have the Vijayashrita jati, Arhant Devas have the Parama jati, and those who have attained liberation have the Swa jati, which is born from their own soul." ||168||
