He who is born from the womb of supreme knowledge, through the birth of karma, becomes a twice-born, adorned with virtues and vows. ||13|| The mark of his vows is the thread, preceded by mantras, conceived in the form of matter and thought, and primarily based on the command of the omniscient. ||14|| His sacred thread is made of three strands of matter, while the thread of devotion is made of three virtues, residing in the mind. ||15|| When this soul, having received the karmic imprint, attains the supreme Brahman, the leaders of the community welcome him with blessings. ||16|| They offer him the remaining flowers and rice from the worship of the Jina, as a means of stabilization and great encouragement in Dharma. ||17|| Born without a womb, from the womb of divine knowledge, he attains a superior birth and becomes a member of the noble lineage. ||18|| Having attained this noble lineage, he then embraces the practice of good conduct, diligently observing the six karmic actions that lead to profound wisdom. ||19|| He diligently performs all the pure practices prescribed for household life, as mentioned in the scriptures, without any laziness. ||20|| Having received a noble birth from the Jina, and instructed by the Ganadhara, this excellent twice-born person possesses the supreme brilliance of Brahman. ||21|| The people of Dharma praise him, saying that he is like the supreme Brahman, descended to earth. ||22|| He, the wise, performs sacrifices, is worshipped by the sacrificers, and teaches the Vedas and their branches, both by studying and teaching. ||23||
