## Forty-First Chapter
Now, I shall speak to you, twice-born ones, about the actions that are related to lineage, which are possible only for those beings who are close to liberation.
Among these lineage-related actions, the first and most auspicious one is **Sajjati**, which occurs when a being who is close to liberation attains human birth.
When this being, having attained human birth, is born into a pure lineage and is fit for initiation, then this action called **Sajjati** takes place.
**Sajjati** is defined as the possession of a pure lineage and a pure caste. It is through **Sajjati** that a virtuous person attains higher and higher lineages.
The purity of the father's lineage is called **Kula**, and the purity of the mother's lineage is called **Jati**.
The purity of both **Kula** and **Jati** is called **Sajjati**. When **Sajjati** is attained, the three jewels become easily attainable through the inherent qualities acquired without effort.
The attainment of **Sajjati** is especially significant in the land of Aryavarta. It brings about various kinds of auspiciousness for beings when they have the right body and other necessary conditions.
In other words, if one is born into a pure lineage in Aryavarta and has the right body and other necessary conditions, then various auspiciousnesses are easily attained.
This **Sajjati** is described as being born with a pure body, because it is the root cause of the fulfillment of all the desired things for men.
Another **Sajjati** is described as being born through **Sanskaras**. By attaining this **Sajjati**, a being attains the birth of a twice-born.
Just as a gem born from a pure mine attains excellence through **Sanskaras**, similarly, a soul, perfected through actions and mantras, attains the highest excellence.
Or, just as a piece of gold ore becomes pure through proper refining, similarly, a being becomes pure by attaining the right actions.
This **Sanskaras** are born from knowledge, and the highest knowledge is **Samyak Jnana**. When a virtuous being attains this highest knowledge directly from the mouth of the omniscient, then...
