The Thirty-fifth Chapter
117 Victory to Jayavilas, he who is called by flowers,
Who is freed from the bondage of the world by the trees of the forest. He is the first Jina, who is adorned with the weapons of the gods, and whose heart is filled with compassion, and whose voice is filled with sorrow. ||236|| Victory to the self-born Jina, the lord of the Jinas, who is free from attachment, who has washed away the dust of sin, whose lotus feet are adorned with the crowns of the gods, and whose knowledge extends to the limits of the world and the beyond. ||240|| Victory to the one whose soul is not pierced by the arrows of Cupid, who has the goddess of victory of the three worlds on his chest, and who is loved by the goddess of liberation, who is formless, but who is the source of infinite happiness. ||241|| Victory to the first Jina, who did not create a mighty army with bows and arrows, nor did he raise his eyebrows in anger, nor did he make a loud noise with his teeth, to destroy the enemy of the mind. ||242|| Victory to the Jina king, whose power is beyond comprehension, whom even the mighty warriors could not conquer, whose pride was not shaken even by the pride of the gods, and whose strength was not diminished by the weapons of the enemy. ||243|| May these glorious Arhant Devas always be victorious. ||238|| May the first Jina, Sri Vrishabhadeva, be victorious, whose victory is proclaimed by the multitude of flowers, who is like a bee buzzing in the midst of flowers, and who is like Cupid weeping in sorrow for his defeat, and who has placed his flower-like weapons at the feet of the Lord. ||239|| May the first Jina, Sri Vrishabhadeva, be victorious, who has conquered Cupid, whose brilliance is boundless, who is self-born, who is the lord of the Jinas, who is free from attachment, who has washed away the dust of sin, whose lotus feet are adorned with the crowns of the gods, and whose knowledge extends to the limits of the world and the beyond. ||240|| May the Arhant Devas be victorious, whose souls are not pierced by the arrows of Cupid, who have the goddess of victory of the three worlds on their chests, and who are loved by the goddess of liberation, who is formless, but who is the source of infinite happiness. ||241|| May the first Jina, Sri Vrishabhadeva, be victorious, who did not create a mighty army with bows and arrows, nor did he raise his eyebrows in anger, nor did he make a loud noise with his teeth, to destroy the enemy of the mind. ||242|| May the Jina king be victorious, whose power is beyond comprehension, whom even the mighty warriors could not conquer, whose pride was not shaken even by the pride of the gods, and whose strength was not diminished by the weapons of the enemy. ||243||
