The thirty-fifth chapter. In the world enveloped in dense darkness, people with open eyes could not see anything, being corrupted by falsehood. ||17|| The world, overwhelmed by the darkness, was agitated within. Seeing the failure of their vision, many thought it was better to sleep. ||172|| Luminous lamps were lit in every house, shining brightly, as if they were needles prepared to pierce the dense darkness. ||173|| Then, the moon, with its rays that bring joy to the world, destroyed the darkness from afar, as if bathing the world in milk. ||174|| Carrying his own disc with great passion, he rose like a noble king, bringing joy to the world. His rays spread in all directions, like the taxes of a noble king. ||175|| Seeing the moon marked with the symbol of the deer, the great mass of darkness fled like a herd of elephants running away from a lion that has caught a deer. ||176|| The moon's light, with its rows of stars, was like a stream of nectar flowing from the sky, full of bubbles. ||177|| Like a swan's chick, the moon, accompanied by the stars, swam in the lake of the sky, searching for the seaweed of darkness. ||178|| Destroying all darkness, the moon filled the world with his rays, making the whole world like nectar. ||179|| Even after removing the darkness, the moon remained stained. This is right, because natural darkness is very difficult to overcome, even for great men. ||180||
