पविशतितमं पर्व स्वयं' धौतमभाद् व्योम स्वयं प्रच्छालितः शशी । स्वयं प्रसादिता नद्यः स्वयं सम्माजिता दिशः ॥३८॥ शरल्लक्ष्मीमुखालोकदर्पण शशिमण्डले । प्रजादृशो धूति भेजुः असम्मष्टसमुज्ज्वले ॥३६॥ वनराजीस्ततामोदाः कुसुमाभरणोज्ज्वलाः । मधुव्रता भजन्ति स्म कृतकोलाहलस्वनाः ॥४०॥ तन्व्यो वनलता रेजुः विकासिकुसुमस्मिताः । सालका इव गन्धान्धविलोलालिकुलाकुलाः ॥४१॥ दर्पोद्धराः' खुरोत्खातभुवस्तामोकृतेक्षणाः । वृषाः प्रतिवृषालोककुपिताः प्रतिसस्वनः ॥४२॥ प्रवास्किरन्त शुडगाः वृषभा धीरनिःस्वनाः । वनस्थलीः स्थलाम्भोजमणालशकलाचिताः ॥४३॥ वृषाः ककुदसंलग्नमृदः कुमुदपाण्डराः । व्यक्ताङकस्य मृगाङकस्य लक्ष्मीभ बिमरुस्तदा ॥४४॥ क्षीरप्लवमयों कृत्स्नामातन्वाना वनस्थलीम् । प्रस्नुवाना वनान्तेषु प्रसस्नुर्गोमतल्लिकाः० ॥४॥
कुण्डोध्न्योऽमृतपिण्डेन" घटिता इव निर्मलाः । गोगृष्टयोर वनान्तेषु शरच्छिय इवारुचन्२३ ॥४६॥ सुशोभित हो रही थी क्योंकि जिस प्रकार नवोढ़ा स्त्री बन्धुजीव अर्थात् भाईबन्धुओंपर राग अर्थात् प्रेम रखती है उसी प्रकार वह शरद्ऋतु भी बन्धुजीव अर्थात् दुपहरियाके फूलोंपर राग अर्थात् लालिमा धारण कर रही थी, नवोढा स्त्री जिस प्रकार देदीप्यमान होती है उसी प्रकार शरद् ऋतु भी बाण जातिके फूलोंसे देदीप्यमान हो रही थी और नवोढा स्त्री जिस प्रक सखियोंसे घिरी रहती है उसी प्रकार वह शरद्ऋतु भी हंसीरूपी सखियोंसे घिरी रहती थी ॥३७॥ उस समय आकाश अपने आप साफ किये हुएके समान जान पड़ता था, चन्द्रमा अपने आप धोये हएके समान मालम होता था, नदियां अपने आप स्वच्छ हुई सी जान पड़ती थी और दिशाएं अपने आप झाड बहार कर साफ की हईके समान मालम होती थीं ॥३८॥ जो शरद् ऋतुरूपी लक्ष्मीके मख देखने के लिये दर्पणके समान है और जो बिना साफ किये ही अत्यन्त उज्ज्वल है ऐसे चन्द्रमण्डलमें प्रजाके नेत्र बड़ा भारी संतोष प्राप्त करते थे ॥३९॥ जिनकी सगन्धि चारों ओर फैल रही है और जो फलरूप आभरणोंस उज्ज्वल हो रही हैं ऐसो वनपंक्तियोंको भूमर कोलाहल शब्द करते हुए सेवन कर रहे थे ॥४०॥ जो फूले हुए पुष्परूपी मन्द हास्यसे सहित थीं तथा गन्धसे अंधे हुए भमरोंके समूहसे व्याप्त होनेके कारण जो सुन्दर केशोंसे सुशोभित थीं ऐसी वनकी लताएं उस समय कृश शरीरवाली स्त्रियोंके समान शोभा पा रही थीं ॥४१॥ जो खुरोंसे पृथिवीको खोद रहे थे, जिनकी आंखें लाल लाल हो रही थी और जो दूसरे बैलोंके देखनेसे क्रोधित हो रहे थे ऐसे मदोन्मत्त बैल अन्य बैलोंके शब्द सुनकर बदले में स्वयं शब्द कर रहे थे ॥४२॥ उसी प्रकार गम्भीर शब्द करते हुए वे बैल अपने सींगोंके अग्रभागसे स्थलकमलोंके मृणालके टुकडोंसे व्याप्त हुई वनकी पृथिवीको खोद रहे थे ॥४३।। इसी तरह उस शरदऋतुमें जिनके कांधौलपर मिट्टी लग रही है और जो कुमुद पुष्पके समान अत्यन्त सफेद हैं ऐसे वे बैल स्पष्ट चिह्नवाले चन्द्रमाकी शोभा धारण कर रहे थे ॥४४॥ जिनसे अपने आप दूध निकल रहा है ऐसी उत्तम गायें वनकी सम्पूर्ण पृथिवीको दुधके प्रवाहके रूप करती हुई वनोंके भीतर जहां तहां फिर रही थीं ॥४५॥ इसी प्रकार जिनके स्तन कुण्डके समान भारी हैं और जो अमृतके पिण्डसे बनी हुईके समान अत्यन्त निर्मल हैं ऐसी तुरन्तकी प्रसूत हुई गायें वनोंके मध्यमें शरद् ऋतुकी शोभाके समान जान पडती थीं ।।४६।।
