________________ महापुराणम् सरोजलमभूत्कान्तं सरोजरजसा ततम् । सुवर्णरजसाकीर्णमिव कुट्टिमभूतलम् ॥६॥ सरः सरोजरजसा परितः स्थगितोदकम् । कादम्ब'जायाः सम्प्रेक्ष्य मुमुहुः स्थलशंकया ॥१०॥ कञ्जकिजल्कपुञ्जन पिञ्जरा षट्पदावली। सौवर्णमणिब्धेव शरदः कण्ठिका बभौ ॥११॥ सरोजलं समासे दुःमुखराः सितपक्षिणः । वदान्यकुलमुद्भूतसौगन्ध्यमिव वन्दिनः ॥१२॥ नदीनां पुलिनान्यासन् शुचीनि शरदागमे । हंसाना रचितानीव शयनानि सितांशुकः ॥१३॥ सरांसि ससरोजानि सोत्पला 'वप्रभूमयः । सहससैकता नद्यो जश्चेतांसि कामिनाम् ॥१४॥ प्रसन्नसलिला रेजु: सरस्यः सहसारसाः। कृजितैः कलहंसानां जितनपुरशिञ्जितैः ॥१५॥ नीलोत्पलेक्षणा रेजे शरच्छीः पडाकजानना। व्यक्तमाभाषमाणेव कलहंसीकलस्वनः ॥१६॥ पक्वशालिभुवो नमुकणिशाः पिञ्जरश्रियः । स्नाता "हरिद्रयवासन् शरत्कालप्रियागमे ॥१७॥ मन्दसाना मदं भेजुः सहसाना" मदं जहः । शरल्लक्ष्मी समालोक्य शुद्धयशुद्धबोरयं५ निजः ॥१८॥ की बड़े बड़े मोतियोंकी मालासे बनी हुई कण्ठमाल (गले में पहननेका हार) ही हो ॥८॥ कमलोंकी परागसे व्याप्त हुआ सरोवरका जल ऐसा सुन्दर जान पड़ता था मानो सुवर्णकी धूलिसे व्याप्त हआ रत्नजटित पथिवीका तल ही हो ॥९॥ जिसका जल चारों ओरसे कमलों की परागसे ढका हुआ है ऐसे सरोवरको देखकर कादम्ब जातिके हंसोंकी स्त्रियां स्थलका संदेह कर बार बार मोहमें पड़ जाती थी अर्थात् सरोवरको स्थल समझने लगती थीं ॥१०॥ जो भमरोंकी पंक्तियां कमलोंके केशरके समहसे पीली पीली हो गई थीं वे ऐसी जान पड़ती थीं मानो सुवर्णमय मनकाओंसे गूंथा हुआ शरद् ऋतुका कंठहार ही हो ॥११।। जिस प्रकार चारण लोग प्रसिद्ध दानी पुरुषके समीप उसकी कीति गाते हुए पहुंचते हैं उसी प्रकार हंस पक्षी भी शब्द करते हुए अतिशय सुगन्धित सरोवरके जलके समीप पहुंच रहे थे ।।१२।। शरद् ऋतुके आते ही नदियोंके किनारे स्वच्छ हो गये थे और ऐसे जान पड़ते थे मानो सफेद वस्त्रों से बने हुए हंसोंके बिछौने ही हों ॥१३॥ कमलोंसे सहित सरोवर, नील कमलोंसे सहित खेतोंकी भूमियां और हंसों सहित किनारोंसे युक्त नदियां ये सब कामी मनुष्योंका चित्त हरण कर रहे थे ॥१४॥ जिनमें स्वच्छ जल भरा हआ है और जो सारस पक्षियोंके जोडोंसे सहित हैं ऐसे छोटे छोटे तालाब, नुपुरोंके शब्दको जीतनेवाले कलहंस पक्षियोंके सुन्दर शब्दोंसे बहुत ही अधिक सुशोभित हो रहे थे ।।१५॥ नीलोत्पल ही जिसके नेत्र हैं और कमल ही जिसका मुख है ऐसी शरद्ऋतुकी लक्ष्मीरूपी स्त्री कलहंसियों के मधुर शब्दोंके बहाने वार्तालाप करती हुई सी जान पड़ती थी ॥१६॥ जिनमें वाले नीचेकी ओर झुक गई हैं और जिनकी शोभा कुछ कुछ पीली हो गई है ऐसी पके चावलोंकी पृथिवियां उस समय ऐसी जान पड़ती थीं मानो शरद् कालरूपी पतिके आनेपर हल्दी आदिके उबटन द्वारा स्नान कर सुसज्जित ही बैठी हों ॥१७॥ उस शरदऋतुकी शोभा देखकर हंस हर्षको प्राप्त हए थे और मयरोंने अपना हर्ष छोड़ दिया था। सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि शुद्धि और अशुद्धिका यही स्वभाव होता है। भावार्थहंस शुद्ध अर्थात् सफेद होते हैं इसलिये उन्हें शरऋतुकी शोभा देखकर हर्ष हुआ परन्तु मयूर अशुद्ध अर्थात् काले होते हैं इसलिये उन्हें उसे देखकर दुःख हुआ। किसीका वैभव देखकर शुद्ध अर्थात् स्वच्छ हृदयवाले पुरुष तो आनन्दका अनुभव करते हैं और अशुद्ध अर्थात् मलिन स्वभाव वाले-दुर्जन पुरुष दुःखका अनुभव करते हैं, यह इनका स्वभाव ही है ।।१८।। १ कलहंसस्त्रियः । 'कादम्बः कलहंसः स्याद'इत्यभिधानात् । २ मोहयन्ति स्म । ३ रचिता । ४ जगुः। ५ हंसाः। ६ त्यागिसमूहम् । ७ सौहार्दम् । ८ केदार। ६ पुलिन । १० अपहरन्ति स्म। ११ रजन्या । १२ हंसाः। मन्दमाना ल०। १३ हर्षम् । १४ मयुराः । सहमाना ल० । १५ अयमात्मीयगुणो हि । Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
