It appears that in some places e. g. pp. 85, 249 and 317 (pt. I), are cited within brackets, in the body of the edition, works of a later origin than the commentary. This is likely to convey to a reader the wrong impression of their being original sources; as a matter of fact, they are there referred to as supplying the same quotations, and so they ought to have been mentioned in foot-notes.
