Noteworthy Usages:
(1) When a sentence refers to a character that is strange in the present context, a phrase serving as an identifying gloss is introduced which splits the sentence. This is also done to provide an explanatory gloss for some term. e.g.

Identifying gloss without splitting the sentence :
सीयस - वराहग्गीवा च गंधवदत्ता-भायरो, ते वि तत्थेव दिट्ठा य मे 34,22
(2) In a few cases we find singular and plural used for the same addressee in the same context.
तमाणवेह कि अम्हे तुह सगास आगच्छामो, तुम्भे वा अम्ह संगासे आगच्छह?
भे भणामित - काल - वम्मह (१) तावत्ति किं तुह... 33.26

एतस्सविता फास अणुभवसु मुहुत्तगं जा जाणह एरिस- दुक्खमिति 53.5
In 60.9-15 Angaravati addressing Vasudeva as पुत्तय several times uses singular for him (मारिञ्जीहिसि, कुणसु, ते etc.), but along with this we also find छड्डेह, ओलं बेह and पूह.

(3) Frequently we find the pronominal subject (or occasionally some other pronominal form) used twice in the same sentence-in the initial portion and again towards the end. Frequently, although not invariably, this is found in longer sentences
