SAPTABHASHI ATMASIDDHI
and some Munis, about whom references appear elsewhere in these pages.
To better know the inner-state of Srimadji, before composing this immortal work of Atmasiddhi, it is worth studying the background which inspired this composition. Among the events that led to this creation, was the famous letter Srimadji wrote to Prabhushri and Sobhagbhai about the Six Tenets of Soul. This letter and other precious letters, his biography and the stories, episodes and anecdotes of all his direct followers who carne in his living contact like Bhaishri Popatbhai, Justice Dharsibhai, Dr. Peterson and Mahatma Gandhiji, etc. deserve to be studied. Gandhiji's 27 important questions sent from Africa and their touching replies by Srimadji from India are also equally important. Gandhiji, thereafter, was so much influenced by Srimadji and this masterpiece of Atmasiddhi, that he also translated it into English, but unfortunately lost the translation while travelling in a Bus in London.
Luminaries directly influenced by Srimadji, like Mahatma Gandhiji and others deserve a special mention and hence appear in the Appendices with greater detail regarding the impact of Atmasiddhi on them and their relationship with Srimadji. The impact of Atmasiddhi and Srimadji on the Mahatma was not merely moral and spiritual. It was something much more. The 'making of the Mahatma' at the hands of Srimadji, was perhaps the single most profound event that affected the history of our nation in the recent past. This aspect, hardly ever been mentioned and all the more ignored in the modern times, has been highlighted in a unique award-winning play written by this humble editor, titled "The Great Warrior of Non-violence' (aka "Could there be such a Warrior?' in English and 'Maha Sainik' in Hindi).
In the post-Srimadji era, there have been very many great names who fortunately were exposed to Srimadji's literature in general and Atmasiddhi in particular, which has led them to attain great heights on the path of spiritual endeavour. Among them Dr. Pt. Sukhlalji, Yogindra Sri Sahajanandghanji, Mataji Dhandeviji, Vidushi Vimala Thakar, Sadhvi Dr. Tarulatabai Mahasatiji and several others have also made certain remarkable literary contributions for our benefit. Indeed, this new literature that speaks of the Soul also deserves our attention, in order that we could understand Srimadji better. Truly there has been a very strong influence of Srimadji and Atmasiddhi on the
numerous spiritual seekers of this age.
While concluding we shall all like to thank all the remaining persons who have been directly or indirectly instrumental in one way or other in bringing out this great work.
While concluding we especially admire and compliment here to all the organizers of Atmasiddhi Centenary Celebrations which internationally began at San Francisco and completed at Chicago from October 1995 to October 1996, occasions of both of which this humble self had been able to attend with the grace of the Masters. Chicago friends then were privileged to inaugurate on this occasion over there, the first manuscript of this Saptabhashi Atmasiddhi.
Similarly thereafter, now with the commencement of Srimad Rajachandra Param Samadhi Centenary Celebrations 2000, several colleagues connected with these are coming forward to boost this unique venture. With Great Masters' continuous grace, we are confident that these enthusiastic aspirants and studious seekers are going to be further instrumental in carrying on our previously-referred cause and mission to universally project Srimad Rajchandraji and his modern, timerelevant message and literature.
May this treasure of Saptabhashi Atmasiddhi be instrumental in awakening the hidden self, dwelling within each and everyone of the vast Universe stamped by the grace of the Supreme Masters THE PARAMGURUS!
