Acharya Shrimad Vijaya Susheel Surishvar ji Maharaj is a unique example of greatness in minuteness. Every action, effort and creative endeavour by him is filled with simplicity, humility and sublime asceticism. This work by him is unique due to its purity and piety. There are plenty of evidences of influence of mantra, tantra and yantra on Jain culture too. Vidyanuvad was an excellent work on mantra and tantra but it is not available today. Some works like Laghuvidyanuvad and Jain Tantra have come to light but they filled with errors, may be due to lack of expertise in Sanskrit language and absence of faith in and actual practice of mantra-tantra-yantra. Therefore their genuineness and authenticity is doubtful. Some genuine and authentic work in the Jain mantra-tantrayantra tradition was long awaited. I am glad that various works on Stotras, mantras and tantras by Acharyashri are filling this gap.
Acharyashri is an established and accomplished scholar of Sanskrit, Prakrit, Hindi and Gujarati languages. In addition he is a great spiritual aspirant as well as accomplished pursuer of austerities. Therefore any work flowing from his genius is undoubtedly genuine and authentic.
I feel honoured to express that I am a fellow traveler in this literary journey of Acharyashri. He consults me regularly on almost every literary and philosophical matter, simple or complex. What a comparative novice could advise him? However, it is very kind of him that he gives me ample respect.
Accomplished in his own right, his able disciple Acharyadev Shrimad Vijaya Jinottam Suri ji M. Sa also follows his path. Ever busy in various activities of serving the Jain order, he gives due importance to serving his guru and getting his guru's works published. I wish to express my gratitude for Acharyashri Jinottam Suri ji M. on this auspicious occasion of publication of Shri Susheel Kalyan Mandir Stotra.
