ગુરુદેવનું જીવન ચરિત્ર
જીરાવલા તીર્થના નવતર પુનરુદ્ધારનો સંકેત તેઓશ્રીની તપ-જપથી પવિત્ર નિશ્રામાં જ પ્રાપ્ત થયેલો. નાકોડા તીર્થે દશકાઓમાં પહેલી વહેલી ચૈત્રી ઓળીમાં પણ તેઓશ્રીએ નિશ્રાદાન કરેલું. ભૂકંપ કે રેલના પ્રસંગે અનુકંપા-જીવદયામાં પણ કરોડો રૂપિયા તેઓ શ્રીમદ્ગી પાવન નિશ્રામાં વપરાયા હતા.
એમના કલ્યાણ મિત્રોને એ રોજ યાદ કરતા. એમને માર્ગે લાવવા, સંયમપંથે ચડાવવા ખૂબ પ્રયત્નશીલ રહેતા. એ માટે પત્રો પણ લખતા. સંસારીઓને સંસાર કીચ્ચડમાંથી બહાર કાઢવા તેઓ સતત પુરુષાર્થરત હતા. પ્રત્યક્ષ પ્રેરણા, પત્ર દ્વારા હિતોપદેશ કરવામાં એ ન થાકતા.
એમની નિશ્રામાં આઠ તો ઉપધાન થયાં. આશરે ૫૦૦૦ પુણ્યાત્માઓએ ઉપધાન આરાધ્યાં. કરોડોની પ્રત્યેક સ્થળે આવક થઈ. હસ્તગિરિ તીર્થ માટે તેઓશ્રીના ઉપદેશથી કરોડો રૂપિયા અપાયા હતા. ત્યાં બીજા ગઢ ચોવીશ જિન-ગણધર પગલાંની મહાકાય ચોવીશ દેરીઓના નિર્માણ-અંજનપ્રતિષ્ઠામાં પણ તેઓશ્રીની નિશ્રા-માર્ગદર્શન મળ્યાં હતાં. પોતાના પ્રાણપ્યારા પૂ. ગુરુદેવની ૧૭ જેટલી પ્રતિમાઓની એમણે પ્રતિષ્ઠા કરાવી હતી.
એમનો પ્રભુપ્રેમ, ગુરુભક્તિનો ઉમળકો, જયણાનું લક્ષ્ય, જ્વલંત વૈરાગ્ય, નખશીખ ચારિત્રપાલન, નિર્મલતર શ્રદ્ધા અને કરણાભિલાષ, અંતિમ વયમાં પણ તપનો પ્રચંડ પુરુષાર્થ, સવિ જીવ કરું દીક્ષારસીની ઉત્કટ ભાવના અને તદનુસારી પ્રયત્ન વગેરે વગેરે ગુણોની યાદી એટલી મોટી છે કે એ એક એક ગુણને વર્ણવવા માટે ય પાનાનાં પાનાં ઓછાં પડે.
જીવનમાં અનેકવાર સિદ્ધિતપ, શ્રેણિતપ અને વર્ષીતપ જેવા મહાતપો કર્યા, અપ્રમત્તપણે માસક્ષમણ, વીશસ્થાનક જેવા તપો આરાધ્યાં તો સોળ-દશ-અનેક અઠ્ઠાઈઓ, વિશિષ્ટ અભિગ્રહપૂર્વક વર્ધમાન તપની ૧૦૦ + ૨૩ ઓળીઓ આરાધી અને તપાવલીમાં બતાવેલાં નાનામોટા અનેક તપો કરીને એ સાચા અર્થમાં વર્ધમાન તપોનિધિ બન્યા હતા. છેલ્લું ચોમાસું તેઓશ્રીએ મુંબઈ-લાલબાગ (ભૂલેશ્વર)માં કરેલું. અહીં બાળદીક્ષા-સિદ્ધાંતની સુરક્ષા અને અત્રેના જિનાલયની પ્રતિષ્ઠા માટે એઓનું આગમન થયું હતું. બાળદીક્ષાની સુરક્ષાનું મહાન કાર્ય તેઓશ્રીના આલંબને ખૂબ જ શ્રેષ્ઠતમ રીતે સંપન્ન થયું હતું. પ્રતિષ્ઠા માટેની ઉછામણીઓ પણ આકાશને આંબવારી બની. હવે થોડો જ સમય બાકી હતો ત્યાં એમણે જીવનની બાજી સમેટવાનો પ્રારંભ કરી દીધો હતો.
અંતિમ ચાતુર્માસ દરમ્યાન એમનું સ્વાથ્ય કથળેલું હતું. છતાં ય એમણે એમનો નિત્ય આરાધના ક્રમ છોડ્યો ન હતો. અત્યંત ઉપયોગપૂર્વક બધી જ આરાધનામાં તેઓ ઓતપ્રોત રહ્યા. રોજ દેવવંદન, ઉપકારી ગુરુ ભગવંતની છબી આગળ બૃહદ્ ગુરુવંદન, નવસ્મરણાદિ સ્તોત્રોનું વાંચન, સૂરિમંત્ર, ગણિવિદ્યાની સમારાધના, ગુરુદત્ત અનેક મંત્રપદોનું પારાયણ-ધ્યાન, આશ્રિતોનું સતત યોગક્ષેમ, દર્શન કરવા આવતા શ્રાવક-શ્રાવિકા વર્ગને એક માત્ર ધર્મલાભના આશીર્વાદનું દાન, દીક્ષા લેવા માટે યોગ્ય
