Conclusion
The VBh is a classical work like a treasure of knowledge. It contains various branches of knowledge. Commentator Malayagin has added to its magnificance by his commentary (Tikā). The main subject of the text is 'to purify the soul of he ascetic through expiation'. Nevertheless, the author has dealt with many other important topics in the course of his main subject. It elucidates elaborately the culture compilation of the rules and regulations of the Jain monastic tradition, the author has maintained the continuity of traditions.
In addition, the author refers to the difference of opinions wherever possible. For example, we get allusions to many important schools relating to the five vyavahāras. In our preface in Hindi, we have given a detailed account of five vyavahāras and many other important topics discussed in the texts yet there are many more which are left out.
Although the complete translation of the preface in English would have been profitable, but for the want of time, only a part of it has been translated.
