KĀVYAPRAKASAKHANDANA This incident may be compared with the Yatanī affair in Jagannātha's life.
Later on, S. again became a favourite of Jahāngir and got such titles from him as "Nādira-Jamān' (the unique of the age) and Jahān. gir-pasand (Favourite of Jahāngir ). Works of Siddhicandra.
Śrī Desai mentions the following nineteen works of S.
(21Kādambari-Uttarārdhatīkā. (2) Sobhana-Stuti-țīkā. (3) VỊddha-prastāvokti-ratnākara. (4) Bhānucāndra-caritam (5) Bhaktāmarastotravrtti. (6) Tarkabhāṣā-tikā. (7) Sapta-padārthi-tikā (8) Jinašataka-tīkā (9) Väsavadattāvịtti or vyākhyā-tīkā (10) Kāvyaprakāśakhandana. (11) Anekārthopasarga-vștti (12) Dhātumañjarī (13) Akhyāta-vāda-tikā (14) Prākṣta-subhāşita sangraha (15) Sūkti-ratnākara (16) Mangala-vāda (17) Sapta-smaraņavstti (18) Lekha-likhana-paddhati. (19) Samskşipta-Kādambari-Kathānakas
To this list of Sri Desai two more works noted previously should be added, viz., (1) A Bșhattīkā of Kāvyaprakāśa which S. composed in the name of his Guru. This work is attributed to Bhānucandra by Sri Desai probably because he had not seen K. P. K. (2) Laghusiddhānta-kaumudi. A paper ms. of this work lies in the Bhaņdāra of Dayāvimala, Ahmedabad. Sri Desai has given the beginnings and ends of other works. I give in the foot-note a description of this Ms.
1 Some scholors do not regard this affair as historical, See pp. 19-21, Jagan
nātba Pandita. In the light of this incident in S's life, however, the whole
question requires to be examined properly. 2 See Introduction to B. C. p. 65. 3 Introduction to B. C. pp. 71-76. The Ms. consists of 42 folios. It begins:
ॐनमः श्रीगणेशाय ॥ महोपाध्यायश्रीभानुचंद्रगणिभ्यो नमः ।
