The beings, who (at the time of death) are obsessed with wrong belief, ambition and violence and die in that frame of mind; for them regaining of enlightenment becomes rare. (257)
षट्त्रिंश अध्ययन [ 560]
सम्मद्दंसणरत्ता, अनियाणा सुक्कलेसमोगाढा । इय जे मरन्ति जीवा, सुलहा तेसिं भवे बोही ॥ २५८ ॥
जो जीव सम्यग्दर्शन में अनुरक्त हैं, निदान ( आगामी भोगाकांक्षा) से रहित हैं, शुक्ललेश्या में अवगाढ़ (निमग्न) हो जाते हैं तथा इस प्रकार ( इन भावों में) मरण प्राप्त करते हैं, उनके लिए पुन: बोधि-प्राप्ति सुलभ होती है ॥ २५८ ॥
The beings who (at the time of death) are keenly involved in right faith, are devoid of ambition, become resplendent with white soul complexion and die in that frame of mind; for them regaining of enlightenment becomes easy. (258)
मिच्छादंसणरत्ता, सनियाणा कण्हलेसमोगाढा । इय जे मरन्ति जीवा, तेसिं पुण दुल्लहा बोही ॥ २५९ ॥
जो जीव मिथ्यादर्शन में अनुरक्त, निदान सहित और कृष्णलेश्या में निमग्न होकर मरण को प्राप्त करते हैं, उनके लिए पुन: बोधि की प्राप्ति दुर्लभ होती है ॥ २५९ ॥
The beings that (at the time of death) are obsessed with wrong belief, ambition and get engulfed in black soul complexion; and die in that frame of mind; for them regaining of enlightenment becomes rare. (259)
जिणवणे अणुरत्ता, जिणवयणं जे करेन्ति भावेण ।
अमला असंकिलिट्ठा, ते होन्ति परित्तसंसारी ॥ २६० ॥
जो जीव (अन्तिम समय तक ) जिन - वचनों में अनुरक्त रहते हैं, जिनेन्द्र भगवान के वचनों के अनुसार भावपूर्वक आचरण करते हैं, वे निर्मल और राग-द्वेष आदि से असंक्लिष्ट (क्लेशयुक्त भावों से रहित) रहकर परिमित संसारी होते हैं ॥ २६० ॥
The beings who (till the last moment of their life) are engrossed in the word of the Jina, who steadfastly follow the word of the Jina, they remain pure and uncontaminated with vices like attachment and aversion and limit their cycles of rebirth (samsar). (260) बालमरणाणि बहुसो, अकाममरणाणि चैव य बहूणि । मरिहिन्ति ते वराया, जिणवयणं जे न जाणन्ति ॥ २६१ ॥
जो जीव जिन-वचनों को नहीं जानते, वे बेचारे बहुत बार बालमरणों और अकाममरणों से मरते रहते हैं ॥ २६१ ॥
Those who are ignorant of the word of the Jina; pitiable persons as they are, they are trapped in the cycles of rebirth and keep on embracing time and again ignorant and unwilling death. (261)
बहुआगमविन्नाणा, समाहिउप्पायगा य गुणगाही । एएण कारणेणं, अरिहा आलोयणं सोउं ॥ २६२ ॥
