षड्विंश अध्ययन [ 340]
Fourth Quarter
In the fourth quarter of the day he should put away his bowls properly after due inspection. Then he should settle down for studies that reveal all fundamentals. (37)
पोरिसीए चउम्भाए, वन्दित्ताण तओ गुरुं।
पडिक्कमित्ता कालस्स, सेज्जं तु पडिलेहए॥३८॥ पौरुषी के चतुर्थ भाग में गुरु को वन्दना करके काल का प्रतिक्रमण (कायोत्सर्ग) कर शय्या का प्रतिलेखन करे॥ ३८॥
During the last quarter of the fourth paurushi of the day he should pay homage to the guru, perform the periodic critical-review (pratikraman) and then inspect the bed. (38)
पासवणुच्चारभूमिं च, पडिलेहिज्ज जयं जई।
काउस्सग्गं तओ कुज्जा, सव्वदुक्खविमोक्खणं ॥ ३९॥ दैवसिक प्रतिक्रमण ___ यतनाशील यति प्रस्रवण और उच्चार भूमि का प्रतिलेखन करे। तदुपरान्त सर्व दुःखों का अन्त करने वाला कायोत्सर्ग करे ॥ ३९॥ Day-pratikraman
A zealous ascetic should inspect the area for disposal of excreta. After that he should perform kayotsarg (meditation) that ends all miseries. (39)
देसियं च अईयारं, चिन्तिज्ज अणुपुव्वसो।
नाणे य दंसणे चेव, चरित्तम्मि तहेव य॥४०॥ (कायोत्सर्ग में) ज्ञान-दर्शन-चारित्र में लगे दिवस-सम्बन्धी अतिचारों का चिन्तन करे॥ ४०॥
He should review and reflect (while meditating) on the transgressions related to knowledge-faith-conduct committed during the day. (40)
पारियकाउस्सग्गो, वन्दित्ताण तओ गुरूं।
देसियं तु अईयारं, आलोएज्ज जहक्कमं॥४१॥ कायोत्सर्ग को पूर्ण कर गुरु को वन्दन करे। तदुपरान्त दिवस सम्बन्धी अतिचारों की अनुक्रम से आलोचना करे॥ ४१॥
After concluding meditation, he should pay homage to the guru and then perform critical review of transgressions of the day in proper sequence. (41)
पडिक्कमित्तु निस्सल्लो, वन्दित्ताण तओ गुरुं।
काउस्सग्गं तओ कुज्जा, सव्वदुक्खविमोक्खणं ॥४२॥ प्रतिक्रमण करके, शल्यरहित होकर गुरु को वन्दन करे, तत्पश्चात् सभी दु:खों से मुक्त कराने वाला कायोत्सर्ग करे॥४२॥
