चतुर्विंश अध्ययन [310]
एयाइं अट्ठ ठाणाई, परिवज्जित्तु संजए।
असावज्ज मियं काले, भासं भासेज्ज पनवं॥१०॥ क्रोध, मान, माया, लोभ, हास्य, भय, वाचालता तथा विकथाओं में सतत उपयोगयुक्तता- ॥ ९॥
प्रज्ञावान संयती साधक इन (उपर्युक्त) आठ स्थानों का परित्याग करके अवसर के अनुसार निरवद्य (दोषरहित) और परिमित भाषा बोले ॥१०॥ 2. Circumspection in speech (bhasha samiti) ____Continued indulgence in anger, conceit, deceit, greed, laughter, fear, gossip and slandering- (9)
A wise and restrained aspirant should avoid aforesaid eight activities and speak faultless language with brevity and at proper time. (10) ३-एषणा समिति
गवेसणाए गहणे य, परिभोगेसणा य जा। आहारोवहि-सेज्जाए, एए तिन्नि विसोहए॥११॥ उग्गमुप्पायणं पढमे, बीए सोहेज्ज एसणं।
परिभोयंमि चउक्कं, विसोहेज्ज जयं जई॥१२॥ गवेषणा, ग्रहणैषणा और परिभोगैषणा से आहार, उपधि और शय्या-इन तीनों का परिशोधन करे॥ ११॥
यतनाशील यति प्रथम एषणा (आहारादि की गवेषणा) में उद्गम और उत्पादन दोषों का शोधन करे। दूसरी ग्रहणैषणा में आहार आदि ग्रहण करने से सम्बन्धित दोषों का शोधन करे और तीसरी परिभोगैषणा में संयोजना आदि दोष चतुष्क का शोधन करे॥ १२ ॥ 3. Circumspection in exploring alms (eshana samiti) ___He should ensure purity (avoiding faults) of all the three-food, equipment and bed-through care in search, collection and use. (11)
A careful ascetic should avoid the faults of source (udgam) and production (utpadan) in the first (search), faults related to collection or acceptance in the second (collection) and the fault-quartet including that of arrangement (samyojana) in the third (use). (12) ४-आदान-निक्षेपणा समिति
ओहोवहोवग्गहियं, भण्डगं दुविहं मुणी। गिण्हन्तो निक्खिवन्तो य, पउंजेज्ज इमं विहिं॥१३॥ चक्खुसा पडिलेहित्ता, पमज्जेज्ज जयं जई। आइए निक्खिवेज्जा वा, दुहओ वि समिए सया॥१४॥
