Renouncing the ocean-reaching empire of Bharatavarsh and shedding the dirt of karmas, emperor Aranaath, the best among men, also attained liberation. (40)
चइत्ता भारहं वासं, चक्कवट्टी नराहिओ।
चाइत्ता उत्तमे भोए, महापउमे तवं चरे॥४१॥ भारतवर्ष के विशाल राज्य तथा उत्तमोत्तर भोगों को त्यागकर महर्द्धिक चक्रवर्ती महापद्म नरेश्वर ने तप का आचरण किया था ॥ ४१॥
Renouncing the large empire of Bharatavarsh and exquisite regal comforts, glorious emperor Mahapadma took to the path of austerities. (41)
एगच्छत्तं पसाहित्ता, महिं माणनिसूरणो।
हरिसेणो मणुस्सिन्दो, पत्तो गइमणुत्तरं॥४२॥ शत्रु राजाओं का मान मर्दन करने वाले हरिषेण चक्रवर्ती ने पृथ्वी का एकच्छत्र शासन किया और फिर सर्वस्व त्यागकर संयम ग्रहण किया तथा मुक्ति प्राप्त की॥ ४२ ॥
Emperor Harishena, the humbler of all hostile kings, brought the whole earth under his rule and then renouncing everything, he accepted ascetic-discipline to attain liberation. (42)
अन्निओ रायसहस्सेहि, सुपरिच्चाई दमं चरे।
जयनामो जिणक्खायं, पत्तो गइमणुत्तरं॥४३॥ सहस्रों राजाओं के साथ श्रेष्ठ त्यागी जय चक्रवर्ती ने राज्य का परित्याग किया और जिनोक्त संयम का आचरण करके मुक्ति प्राप्त की॥ ४३॥
Highly generous emperor Jaya renounced his empire and following the ascetic conduct propagated by Jinas, along with thousands of kings, attained liberation. (43)
दसण्णरज्जं मुइयं, चइत्ताण मुणी चरे।
दसण्णभद्दो निक्खन्तो, सक्खं सक्केण चोइओ॥४४॥ साक्षात् शक्रेन्द्र द्वारा प्रेरित हुए दशार्णभद्र राजा ने प्रमुदित मन से अपने दशार्ण देश को छोड़कर प्रव्रज्या ग्रहण की और मुनिधर्म का आचरण किया॥ ४४॥
Inspired by Shakra (the king of gods) himself, king Dashaarnabhadra, the ruler of Dashaarna country, renounced his kingdom gladly, got initiated and followed the asceticconduct. (44)
नमी नमेइ अप्पाणं, सक्खं सक्केण चोइओ।
चइऊण गेहं वइदेही, सामण्णे पज्जुवट्ठिओ॥ ४५ ॥ विदेहराज नमि राजर्षि ने साक्षात् इन्द्र द्वारा प्रेरित किये जाने पर भी अपना राजभवन और सम्पूर्ण राज्य छोड़कर अपनी आत्मा को नमित किया और श्रमणत्व में सम्पूर्ण रूप से स्थिर हो गये॥ ४५ ॥
King Nami, the ruler of Videha country, bowed to his own soul, as inspired by Shakra, the king of gods, renounced his kingdom and zealously embraced asceticism. (45)
