[97] नवम अध्ययन
सचित्र उत्तराध्ययन सूत्र
अवउज्झिऊण माहणरूवं, विउव्विऊण इन्दत्तं । वन्दइ अभित्थुणन्तो, इमाहि महुराहिं वग्गूहिं - ॥ ५५ ॥
विप्ररूप को त्यागकर देवेन्द्र अपने वास्तविक रूप में आया तथा मधुर और प्रशस्त वचनों से नमि राजर्षि की वन्दना करता हुआ कहने लगा- ॥ ५५ ॥
Shedding the disguise as a Brahmin, the king of gods, appeared in his real form. After bowing and paying homage to sage Nami in sweet and illustrious terms he said- (55)
'अहो ! ते निज्जिओ कोहो, अहो ! ते माणो पराजिओ । अहो ! ते निरक्किया माया, अहो ! ते लोभो वसीकओ ॥ ५६ ॥
अहो! तुमने क्रोध पर विजय प्राप्त की । अहो ! तुमने मान को पराजित कर दिया। अहो ! तुमने छल-कपट - माया को दूर कर दिया । अहो ! तुमने लोभ को वश में कर लिया ॥ ५६ ॥
Great! You have conquered anger. Great! You have defeated conceit. Great! You have wiped off deceit. Great! You have subjugated greed. (56)
अहो! ते अज्जवं साहु, अहो ! ते साहु मद्दवं ।
अहो! ते उत्तमा खन्ती, अहो! ते मुत्ति उत्तमा ॥ ५७ ॥
अहो ! तुम्हारा आर्जव उत्तम है। अहो ! तुम्हारा मार्दव उत्तम है। तुम्हारी क्षमा और निर्लोभता उत्तम है ॥ ५७ ॥
Great! Your simplicity is commendable and so is your humbleness. Great! Your forgiveness is lofty and so is your freedom from attachment (greed). (57)
इहं सि उत्तमो भन्ते !, पेच्चा होहिसि उत्तमो । लगत्तमुत्तमं ठाणं, सिद्धिं गच्छसि नीरओ' ॥ ५८ ॥
भगवन्! आप इस लोक में भी उत्तम हैं और परलोक में उत्तम होंगे। कर्म-मल से रहित होकर आप लोक में उत्तमोत्तम स्थान - सिद्ध-स्थान को प्राप्त करेंगे ॥ ५८ ॥
O venerable! You are excellent in this world (birth) and so would you be in the next world (birth). Getting free of the slime of karma you will attain the loftiest abode of liberation, the state of perfection ( Siddhi). (58)
एवं अभित्थुणतो, रायरिसिं उत्तमाए सद्धाए । पयाहिणं करेन्तो, पुणो पुणो वन्दई सक्को ॥ ५९॥
इस प्रकार देवेन्द्र - शक्रेन्द्र ने उत्तम श्रद्धा से नमि राजर्षि की स्तुति और प्रदक्षिणा की और बार- बार वन्दना की ॥ ५९ ॥
Thus Indra praised and circumabulated the sage with profound faith and offered salutations repeatedly. ( 59 )
