सचित्र उत्तराध्ययन सूत्र
Creating a bow of spiritual prowess, careful movement its string, steadiness its grip and truth the tying cord- (21)
तवनारायजुत्तेण, भेत्तूणं कम्मकंचुयं।
मुणी विगयसंगामो, भवाओ परिमुच्चए'॥ २२॥ तपरूपी बाण से युक्त उस धनुष के द्वारा कर्म-कवच को छिन्न-भिन्न कर, अन्तर्युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त कर मुनि संसार-भ्रमण से मुक्त हो जाता है।॥ २२॥
Shattering the armour of karmas with the arrow of austerities loaded on such a bow and winning this spiritual war, the ascetic gets liberated from the cycles of rebirth. (22)
एयमठें निसामित्ता, हेऊकारण-चोइओ।
.. तओ नमिं रायरिसिं, देविन्दो इणमब्बवी-॥२३॥ नमि राजर्षि के इस उत्तर को सुनकर, हेतु और कारण से प्रेरित देवेन्द्र ने नमि राजर्षि से कहा- ॥२३॥
Hearing sage Nami's answer, the king of gods, on the basis of his reason and logic, spoke thus to the sage- (23)
'पासाए कारइत्ताणं, वद्धमाणगिहाणि य।
वालग्गपोइयाओ य, तओ गच्छसि खत्तिया !'॥२४॥ हे क्षत्रिय! प्रासाद, वर्द्धमान गृह, चन्द्रशालाएँ (सरोवर के मध्य निर्मित छोटा महल, जलमहल या हवामहल) बनवाओ, तदुपरान्त दीक्षा ग्रहण करना ॥ २४॥
O Kshatriya! Erect palaces, exquisite mansions (vardhaman griha) and turrets or water-palaces (chandrashala) and then only get initiated. (24)
एयमलृ निसामित्ता, हेऊकारण-चोइओ।
तओ नमी रायरिसी, देविन्दं इणमब्बवी-॥२५॥ इस कथन को सुनकर हेतु-कारण से प्रेरित नमि राजर्षि ने देवेन्द्र से कहा- ॥ २५॥
Hearing these words from Indra and stirred by logic and reason sage Nami answered to Indra thus- (25)
'संसयं खलु सो कुणई, जो मग्गे कुणई घरं।
जत्थेव गन्तुमिच्छेज्जा, तत्थ कुव्वेज्ज सासयं'॥२६॥ जिसके मन में शंका होती है, वही मार्ग में घर का निर्माण करता है। जहाँ जाने की इच्छा हो, वहीं अपना शाश्वत-स्थायी निवास बनाना चाहिये॥ २६॥
Only those who are apprehensive erect a house when on the way. One should make his eternal home only where he finally desires to go. (26)
एयमढं निसामित्ता, हेऊकारण-चोइओ।
