Those, who fall from the spiritual path due to irregularity and indiscipline in the present life, are reborn among evil divine beings (Asur kaaya) who are infatuated with carnal pleasures and tastes. (14)
तत्तो वि य उवट्टित्ता, संसारं बहुं अणुपरियडन्ति।
बहुकम्मलेवलित्ताणं, बोही होइ सुदुल्लहा तेसिं॥१५॥ उस आसुर काय से निकलकर भी वे दीर्घकाल तक संसार में परिभ्रमण करते हैं, अत्यधिक कर्मों से लिप्त होने के कारण उन्हें सम्यक् बोधि की प्राप्ति अति दुर्लभ होती है॥ १५ ॥
Even after leaving that genus (Asur kaaya), they transmigrate in cycles of rebirth (samsaar) for a long time. As they are highly maligned by karmas, the chances of their gaining enlightenment are extremely rare. (15)
कसिणं पि जो इमं लोयं, पडिपुण्णं दलेज्ज इक्कस्स।
तेणावि से न संतुस्से, इइ दुप्पूरए इमे आया॥१६॥ यह आत्मा लोभ से इतनी अभिभूत है-धन-धान्य आदि से परिपूर्ण यह संसार किसी एक व्यक्ति को भी दे दिया जाय तब भी वह संतुष्ट नहीं होता ॥ १६ ॥
This soul is so overpowered by greed that if this world with abundance of wealth is given to a single person, even then he is not contented. (16)
जहा लाहो तहा लोहो, लाहा लोहो पवड्ढई।
दोमास-कयं कज्ज, कोडीए वि न निट्ठियं ॥ १७॥ ___ जैसे-जैसे लाभ होता है, वैसे-वैसे ही लोभ भी होता है। लाभ से लोभ बढ़ता जाता है। दो माशा सोने से पूरा हो जाने वाला कार्य करोड़ों स्वर्ण-मुद्राओं से भी पूरा न हो सका ॥ १७॥ .
The more a man gets, the greedier he becomes. Greed increases with gain. The work that needed just two Masha of gold could not be accomplished even with millions of gold coins. (17)
नो रक्खसीसु गिज्झज्जा, गंडवच्छासु ऽणेगचित्तासु।
जाओ पुरिसं पलोभित्ता, खेल्लन्ति जहा व दासेहिं॥१८॥ कपटपूर्ण हृदय वाली तथा जिनके वक्ष पर फोड़े या गाँठ के समान स्तन हैं, जिनका हृदय अनेक कामनाओं से चंचल है, जो पुरुष को प्रलोभन में फंसाकर उसे दास के समान नचाने वाली हैं, वासनाओं से भरी राक्षसी के समान स्त्रियों में आसक्ति मत रखो॥ १८॥
Never have craving for lustful demonic women, who have deceptive minds, who have breasts that are tumor-like lumps, who are mercurial due to numerous desires and who ensnare man by tantalizing with carnal favours to make them dance to their tune like slaves. (18)
