17. [Q.] Bhante ! How many chief consorts does Kaal, the king of Pishaachas (a class of lower gods) have ?

[Ans.] Noble ones! He (Kaal) has four chief consorts – ( 1 ) Kamala, 5 (2) Kamal-prabha, (3) Utpala and ( 4 ) Sudarshana. Each of these goddesses has a family of one thousand goddesses. All the remaining details are just like those of the Lokapaals of Chamarendra. The description of families also follows the same pattern. The only difference is that the names of his throne and capital city are Kaal and Kaala respectively. All other details follow the same pattern. The same is true for Mahakaal, the king of Pishaachas.
१८. [ प्र. ] सुरूवस्स णं भंते ! भूइंदस्स भूयरन्नो० पुच्छा ।
[उ.] अज्जो ! चत्तारि अग्गमहिसीओ पन्नत्ताओ, तं जहा - रूववई १, बहुरूवा २, सुरूवा ३, सुभगा ४ । तत्थ णं एगमेगाए० सेसं जहा कालस्स । एवं पडिरूवगस्स वि । १८. [प्र.] भगवन् ! भूतेन्द्र भूतराज सुरूप की कितनी अग्रमहिषियाँ हैं ?
[.उ.] आर्यो ! (सुरूपेन्द्र भूतराज की ) चार अग्रमहिषियाँ हैं - १. रूपवती, २. बहुरूपा, ३. सुरूपा और ४. सुभगा । इनमें से प्रत्येक देवी (अग्रमहिषी) के परिवार आदि का वर्णन
कालेन्द्र के समान जानना चाहिए। इसी प्रकार प्रतिरूपेन्द्र के ( देवी - परिवार आदि के) विषय में भी जानना चाहिए ।
18. [Q.] Bhante ! How many chief consorts does Surupa, the king of Bhoots (a class of lower gods) have ?
[Ans.] Noble ones! He ( Surupa) has four chief consorts— (1) Rupavati, (2) Bahurupa, (3) Surupa and (4) Subhaga. The description of each of these goddesses (chief consorts) and her family should be taken as that of Kaal, the king of Pishaachas. The same is true for Pratirupa, the king of Bhoots.
१९. [.] पुण्णभद्दस्स णं भंते ! जक्खिदस्स० पुच्छा ।
