555555555555555555555555555555555555 association with material things is called substance related sufferance, that caused by presence in areas like hell is called area related sufferance, that related to periods of time including the fifth and sixth epochs (aaraks) is called time related sufferance, and that caused by. feelings, like grief and anger, is called feeling related sufferance. All worldly beings experience all these four kinds of sufferance. In order to know about various types and sub-types of sufferance the aforesaid
chapter of Prajnapana Sutra should be studied. ॐ मासिक भिक्षप्रतिमा की आराधना OBSERVING MONTH-LONG BHIKSHUPRATIMA
७. मासियं णं भंते ! भिक्खुपडिम पडिवन्नस्स अणगारस्स निच्चं वोसटे काए म चियत्ते देहे, एवं मासिया भिक्खुपडिमा निरवसेसा भाणियव्वा जहा दसाहिं जाव आराहिया भवइ।
७. मासिक भिक्षु-प्रतिमा जिस अनगार ने अंगीकार की है तथा जिसने शरीर (के म. ममत्व) का त्याग कर दिया है और (शरीर-संस्कार आदि के रूप में) काया का सदा के
लिए व्यत्सर्ग कर दिया है. इत्यादि दशाश्रतस्कन्ध में बताए अनसार मासिक भिक्ष-प्रतिमा 卐 सम्बन्धी समग्र वर्णन (बारहवीं भिक्षु-प्रतिमा तक) करना चाहिए, यावत् (तभी) आराधित म होती है, यहाँ तक कहना चाहिए।

विवेचन-भिक्षु-प्रतिमा का स्वरूप-साधु की एक प्रकार की प्रतिज्ञा (अभिग्रह) विशेष को म भिक्षु-प्रतिमा कहते हैं। यह बारह प्रकार की है। पहली से लेकर सातवीं प्रतिमा तक क्रमशः एक - मास से लेकर सात मास की हैं। आठवीं, नौवीं और दसवीं प्रतिमा प्रत्येक सात-अहोरात्र की होती हैं। ॐ ग्यारहवीं प्रतिमा एक अहोरात्र की और बारहवीं भिक्षु-प्रतिमा केवल एक रात्रि की होती है। इसका के 卐 विस्तृत वर्णन दशाश्रुतस्कन्ध की सातवीं दशा में है। भिक्षु स्नानादि शरीर संस्कार के त्याग के रूप में
काया का व्युत्सर्ग कर देता है तथा शरीर के प्रति ममत्व का त्याग कर देता है, उस स्थिति में जो
कोई परिषह या देवकृत, मनुष्यकृत या तिर्यञ्चकृत उपसर्ग उत्पन्न होते हैं, उन्हें सम्यक् प्रकार से सहता + है तो उसकी भिक्षु-प्रतिमा आराधित होती है।
Elaboration-Bhikshupratima-A special vow or resolve of an ascetic to observe special rigorous austerities is called Bhikshupratima.
