[Ans.] Gautam ! Soul of earth-bodied beings is non-knowledge (ajnana) " and ajnana of earth-bodied beings is certainly soul.
१४. एवं जाव वणस्सइकाइयाणं। [१४] इसी प्रकार यावत् वनस्पतिकायिक तक कहना चाहिए।
14. The same is true for other bodied beings... and so on up to...plant bodied beings.
१५. बेइंदिय-तेइंदिय. जाव वेमाणियाणं जहा नेरइयाणं। - [१५] द्वीन्द्रिय, त्रीन्द्रिय (आदि से लेकर) यावत् वैमानिक तक के (जीवों तक का कथन) नैरयिकों के समान जानना चाहिए।
___ 15. The pattern of infernal beings holds good also for two-sensed beings, three sensed beings... and so on up to... Vaimanik Dev (celestial-vehicular gods).
१६. [प्र.] आया भंते ! दंसणे, अन्ने दंसणे? [उ.] गोयमा ! आया नियमं दसणे, दंसणे वि नियमं आया। १६. [प्र.] भगवन् ! आत्म-दर्शनरूप है, अथवा दर्शन उससे भिन्न है? [उ.] गौतम! आत्मा नियमतः दर्शनरूप है और दर्शन भी नियमतः आत्मरूप है।
16. [Q.] Bhante ! Is soul (a manifestation of) perception (darshan) or darshan is different from it? ___[Ans.] Gautam! Soul, as a rule, is (a manifestation of) perception (darshan) and darshan too, as a rule, is (constituent of) soul.
१७. [प्र.] आया भंते ! नेरइयाणं दंसणे, अन्ने नेरइयाणं दंसणे? ___[उ.] गोयमा ! आया नेरइयाणं नियमं दसणे, दंसणे वि से नियमं आया।
१७. [प्र.] भगवन् ! नैरयिकों की आत्मा दर्शनरूप है, अथवा नैरयिकों का दर्शन उनसे । भिन्न है?
[उ.] गौतम! नैरयिक जीवों की आत्मा नियमतः दर्शनरूप है, उनका दर्शन भी नियमतः आत्मरूप है। .
