[उ.] गौतम! वे प्रथम तीन नरक पृथ्वियों में से आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं। शेष चार (नरकपृथ्वियों) से (उत्पत्ति का ) निषेध करना चाहिए।
10-2. [Q.] Bhante ! If they come from among infernal beings, do they come from among infernal beings of Ratnaprabha Prithvi... and so on up to... Adhah-saptam Prithvi and get born ?
[Ans.] Gautam! They come from among infernal beings of first three Narak Prithvis (hells) and never from remaining four hells.

[उ. ] वेमाणिएसु सव्वेसु उववज्जंति जाव सव्वट्टसिद्ध त्ति । सेसा खोडेयव्वा ।

१०- ३. [प्र.] भगवन् ! यदि वे देवों से आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं, तो क्या भवनपति आदि देवों से आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम! वे, समस्त वैमानिक देवों से यावत् सर्वार्थसिद्ध से आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं। शेष सभी देवों का निषेध (करना चाहिए । )
10-3. [Q.] Bhante ! If they come from among divine beings (Devs), do they come from among the abode-dwelling and other divine beings and get born ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! They come from all celestial vehicular gods (Vaimanik Devs)... and so on up to ... Sarvarthasiddha (divine realm) and get born. Negate all other divine beings.
११. [ प्र. ] भावदेवा णं भंते! कओहिंतो उववज्जंति ?
. [ उ. ]. एवं जहा वक्कंतीए भवणवासीणं उववाओ तहा भाणियव्वो ।
११. [प्र.] भगवन्! भावदेव किस गति से आकर उत्पन्न होते हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम ! जिस प्रकार ( प्रज्ञापनासूत्र के छठे ) व्युत्क्रान्ति पद में भवनवासियों के

उपपात (उत्पत्ति) का कथन किया है, उसी प्रकार यहाँ भी करना चाहिए ।
11. [Q.] Bhante ! From which genus do Bhaavadevs come and get born ? [Ans.] Gautam ! What has been mentioned in Vyutkranti chapter (the sixth chapter of Prajnapana Sutra) regarding birth (upapaat) of abodedwelling gods (Bhavan-vaasi Devs) should be repeated here.
