That is why, Jayanti ! It is said that it is better for some beings to remain efficient and for some beings to remain sluggish. पंचेन्द्रियों के वश आर्त बने हुए जीवों का बन्धादि दुष्परिणाम CONSEQUENCES OF GRIEF EXPERIENCED DUE TO SENSUAL ORGANS
२१-१. [प्र.] सोइंदियवसट्टे णं भंते! जीवे किं बंधइ? [उ.] एवं जहा कोहवसट्टे (स. १२ उ. १) तहेव जाव अणुपरियट्टइ।
२१-१. [प्र.] भगवन्! श्रोत्रेन्द्रिय के वश आर्त (पीड़ित) बना हुआ जीव क्या बाँधता ॐ है? इत्यादि प्रश्न।
[उ.] जयन्ती! जिस प्रकार क्रोध के वश आर्त बने हुए जीव के विषय में (श. १२, 卐 उ. १ में कहा गया) है, उसी प्रकार (यहाँ भी समझना चाहिए) यावत् वह संसार में म बार-बार परिभ्रमण करता है।
21-1. [Q.] Bhante ! What bondage (of karma) does a jiva (living being/soul) afflicted with grief caused due to hold of the sense organ of hearing attract ? And other questions.
[Ans.] Jayanti ! As it has been mentioned about a jiva (living si being/soul) afflicted with grief caused by anger (Ch.-12, Le.-1, St.-26), so (it should be taken here)... and so on up to... moves around + in the endless, infinite, extended forest of cycles of rebirth having fourt genuses.
२१-२. एवं चक्खिदियवसट्टे वि। एवं जाव फासिंदियवसट्टे वि, जाव अणुपरियट्टइ।
२१-२. इसी प्रकार से चक्षुरिन्द्रिय के वश आर्त बने हुए जीव के विषय में भी कहना है चाहिए। इसी तरह यावत् स्पर्शेन्द्रियवशात बने हुए जीव के विषय में भी समझना चाहिए यावत् वह बार-बार संसार में परिभ्रमण करता है।
21-2. The same should be said about a jiva (living being/soul) afflicted with grief caused due to hold of the sense organ of seeing. Also (the same is true for)... and so on up to... hold of the sense organ of touch... and so on up to... moves around in the endless, infinite, extended forest of cycles of rebirth having four genuses.
