२ भंडनिक्खेवं करेइ, भं. क. २ आलभियाए नयरीए सिंघाडग जाव पहेसु अन्नमन्नस्स म एवमाइक्खइ जाव परूवेइ-अस्थि णं देवाणुप्पिया ! ममं अइसेसे नाण-दसणे समुप्पन्ने, 5 में देवलोएसु णं देवाणं जहन्नेणं दसवाससहस्साइं. तहेव जाव वोच्छिन्ना देवा य देवलोगा य।
[१८] तत्पश्चात् उस मुद्गल परिव्राजक को इस प्रकार का विचार उत्पन्न हुआ-"मुझे . ॐ अतिशय ज्ञान-दर्शन समुत्पन्न हुआ है, जिससे मैं जानता हूँ कि देवलोकों में देवों की जघन्य स्थिति में
दस हजार वर्ष की है, उसके बाद एक समय अधिक, दो समय अधिक, यावत् असंख्यात समय के अधिक, इस तरह बढ़ते-बढ़ते उत्कृष्ट स्थिति दस सागरोपम की है। उसके बाद देव और देवलोक म विच्छिन्न हैं (नहीं हैं)।" इस प्रकार उसने ऐसा निश्चय कर लिया। फिर वह 'आतापना भूमि से के नीचे उतरा और त्रिदण्ड, कुण्डिका, यावत् धातुरक्त (भगवां) वस्त्रों को लेकर आलभिका नगरी में है
जहाँ परिव्राजकों का आवसथ (मठ) था, वहाँ आया। वहाँ उसने अपने भण्डोपकरण रखे और है आलभिका नगरी के शृंगाटक, त्रिक, चतुष्क यावत् राजमार्ग पर एक-दूसरे से इस प्रकार कहने के
यावत् प्ररूपणा करने लगा-“हे देवानुप्रियो! मुझे अतिशय ज्ञान-दर्शन उत्पन्न हुआ है, जिससे मैं , । यह जानता-देखता हूँ कि देवलोकों में देवों की जघन्य स्थिति दस हजार वर्ष की है और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति यावत् दस सागरोपम की है। इससे आगे देवों और देवलोकों का अभाव है।"
18. Then Mudgal Parivrajak thought thus, “I have gained supreme 4 knowledge and perception, with the help of which I know that the
um life-span of gods in divine realms is ten thousand years; then i with gradual increase of one Samaya, two Samayas ... and so on up to ... uncountable Samayas it can reach the maximum of ten Sagaropams. There are neither gods nor divine realms beyond this." Having resolved thus he got down from the heat-mortification arena and, carrying his trident, bowl ... and so on up to ... saffron coloured dress, came to the abode of Parivrajaks in Aalabhika city. Leaving his bowls and equipment there he started moving around in squares, crossings, highways and
other public places in Aalabhika city and started preaching to masses - !.fi "O beloved of gods! I have gained supreme knowledge and perception 51
with the help of which, I know and see that the minimum life-span of 4 gods in divine realms is ten thousand years and the maximum is of ten 5. Sagaropams. There are neither gods nor divine realms beyond this.”
१९. तए णं आलभियाए नयरीए एवं एएणं अभिलावेणं जहा सिवस्स (स. ११ उ. ९) तं चेव जाव से कहमेयं मन्ने एवं? ॐ [१९] इस बात को सुनकर आलभिका नगरी के लोग परस्पर (श. ११, उ. ९ के म अनुसार) शिव राजर्षि के अभिलाप के समान कहने लगे यावत्-“हे देवानुप्रियो ! उनकी यह बात ॐ कैसे मानी जाए?"
