40. The attendants complied with the order and reported back.
४१. तए णं से बले राया जेणेव अट्टणसाला तेणेव उवागच्छइ, ते. उ. २ तं चेव जाव मज्जणघराओ पडिनिक्खमइ, प. २ उस्सुक्क उक्करं उक्किट्ठ अदेज्ज अमेज्जं म अभडप्पवेसं अदंडकोदंडिमं अधरिमं गणियावरनाडइज्जकलियं अणेगतालाचराणुचरियं ॐ अणुद्धयमुइंगं अमिलायमल्लदामं पमुइयपक्कीलियं सपुरजणजाणवयं दसदिवसे ठिइवडियं करे।।
[४१] इसके बाद बल राजा व्यायामशाला में गये। वहाँ जाकर व्यायाम किया। तत्पश्चात् स्नानादि का वर्णन पूर्ववत् जानें। यावत् बल राजा स्नानगृह से निकले। (नरेश ने दस दिन के
लिए) प्रजा से शुल्क तथा कर लेना बन्द कर दिया, भूमि के कर्षण-जोतने का निषेध कर ॐ दिया। क्रय, विक्रय का निषेध कर देने से किसी को कुछ मूल्य देना अथवा नाप-तौल करना न भी रहा। कुटुम्बियों (प्रजा) के घरों में सुभटों का प्रवेश बंद कर दिया। राजदण्ड तथा अपराधियों 卐 को दिये गए कुदण्ड का निषेध कर दिया। ऋणियों को ऋण से मुक्त कर दिया। इसके अतिरिक्त के
प्रधान गणिकाओं तथा नाटक सम्बन्धी पात्रों से युक्त अनेक प्रकार के तालानुचरों द्वारा निरन्तर करताल आदि तथा वादकों द्वारा उन्मुक्त रूप से बजाए जा रहे मृदंगादि वाद्य यंत्रों से वह उत्सव मनाया जाता रहा। यत्र-तत्र बिना कुम्हलाई हुई पुष्पमालाओं से सजावट की गई थी। । आमोद-प्रमोद और खेलकूद करने वाले अनेक लोग, सभी नगरजन एवं जनपद के निवासी (इस ॐ उत्सव में सम्मिलित थे।) इस प्रकार दस दिनों तक राजा द्वारा पुत्र-जन्म महोत्सव प्रक्रिया (स्थितिपतिता-कुल-मर्यादागत प्रक्रिया) होती रही।
41. King Bal then went to his gymnasium and entered it. The routine of gymnasium followed by that of bathroom should be quoted as before... 55 and so on up to... came out of the bathroom. (For the ten day celebration
period, the king) stopped collection of all fees and taxes. He prohibited land tilling and stopped all trading, resulting in all provisions being distributed free. Policemen were prohibited from entering houses of citizens. Minor and major punishments were discontinued; in other words a general amnesty was declared. Public loans were written off. Actors, courtesans and other performing artists of fame freely performed with accompaniment of musical instruments including Mridangs (a specific 4 type of drum) during the celebrations. Every nook and corner was decorated with garlands of fresh flowers. All the people of the city and the state along with a variety of entertainers and acrobats joined the celebrations with joy and enthusiasm. Thus for ten days these festivities continued without a pause.
