अधोलोक में जीव- अजीवादि SUBSTANCES IN THE LOWER WORLD
१२. [प्र.] अहोलोयखेत्तलोए णं भंते! किं जीवा, जीवदेसा, जीवपएसा ? [ऊ. ] एवं जहा इंदा दिसा तहेव निरवसेसं भाणियव्वं जाव अद्धासमए ।
१२. [प्र.] भगवन्! अधोलोक - क्षेत्रलोक में क्या जीव हैं, क्या जीव के देश हैं, क्या जीव के प्रदेश हैं? क्या अजीव हैं, क्या अजीव के देश हैं, क्या अजीव के प्रदेश हैं ?
[उ.] गौतम ! जिस प्रकार दसवें शतक के प्रथम उद्देशक में ऐन्द्री दिशों के विषय में कहा गया है, उसी प्रकार यहाँ भी समग्र वर्णन कहना चाहिए; यावत् - अद्धा - समय (काल) रूप है। 12. [Q.] Bhante ! In the Lower World are there souls, sections (desh ) of souls and space-points (pradesh) of souls ? Also, are there non-souls, sections (desh) of non-souls and space-points (pradesh ) of non-souls ?
[Ans.] Gautam ! What has been mentioned in the first lesson of the tenth chapter about the eastern direction should be repeated verbatim... and so on up to... Addha-samaya (time).
१३. [ प्र. ] तिरियलोयखेत्तलोए णं भंते! किं जीवा ?
[3. ] एवं चेव ।
१३. [प्र.] भगवन् ! क्या तिर्यक्लोक - क्षेत्रलोक में जीव हैं ? इत्यादि प्रश्न । [.] गौतम! ( इस विषय में समस्त वर्णन) उपरोक्त पूर्वक जानना चाहिए ।
13. [Q.] Bhante / In the Transverse World are there souls, etc. ? [Ans.] Gautam ! The answer is same as aforesaid (statement-12).
१४. एवं उड्डलोयखेत्तलोए वि । नवरं अरूवी छव्विहा, अद्धासमओ नत्थि ।
१४. इसी प्रकार ऊर्ध्वलोक- क्षेत्रलोक के विषय में जानना चाहिए; परन्तु विशेषता यह है कि ऊर्ध्वलोक में अरूपी के छह भेद ही हैं, क्योंकि वहाँ अद्धासमय नहीं है।
14. The same also holds good for the Upper World except for one variation that in the Upper World the formless entities are only six in number as time (Addha-samaya) is non-existent there.
