तेंतीस आशातना सून
आशातना का अर्थ है-अवज्ञा या अनादर करना। प्रत्येक भव्यात्मा का यह सहज दायित्व है कि वह आत्म-विकास के निम्नतम तल पर जी रहे एकेन्द्रिय जीव से लेकर आत्म-विकास के सर्वोच्च शिखर पर प्रतिष्ठित अरिहंतों और सिद्ध भगवंतों तक-किसी भी जीव की अवज्ञा या अनादर न करे। कदाचित् उससे आशातना हो भी जाए तो वह "तैंतीस आशातना प्रतिक्रमण सूत्र" के स्मरण द्वारा उक्त आशातना से उत्पन्न दोषों का प्रक्षालन कर ले। विगत दो पृष्ठों पर अरिहंत प्रभु की आशातना से लेकर अस्वाध्याय पर्यंत तैंतीस आशातनाओं के स्वरूप को हृदयंगम कर भव्यात्माओं को उनसे स्वयं को सुरक्षित रखना चाहिए।

Thirty Three Ashatana Sutra
Ashatana means disrespect—not to follow the order. It is the duty of every worthy person that he should not show disrespect to any living being-right from spiritually best developed one-sensed being upto highest spiritually developed person the Arihantas and liberated souls. In case inadvertently any disrespect occurs, he should reach the aphorism of repentance for thirty three activities involving disrespect. In the last two pages, the thirty three ashatanas starting from disrespect to Arihantas upto non-study of scriptures has been mentioned. In the illustrations, the ashatanas have been depicted the worthy person should keep them in mind and safeguard themselves from such deviations.
