२४८-जंबुद्दीवस्स णं दीवस्स पुरच्छिमिल्लाओ चरमंताओ गोथूभस्स णं आवासपव्वयस्स | पच्चच्छिमिल्ले चरमंते एस णं वायालीसं जोयणसहस्साइं अबाहातो अंतरं पन्नत्तं। एवं चउद्दिसिं | पि दोभासे, संखे, दयसीमे य।

बाधा या व्यवधान के अन्तर बयालीस हजार योजन कहा गया है। इसी प्रकार चार दिशाओं में भी उदकभास, शंख और उदकसीम का अन्तर जानना चाहिए।
