२३१ - हेमवय- हेरण्णवइयाओ णं जीवाओ सत्ततीसं जोयणसहस्साइं छच्च चउसत्तरे जोयणसए सोलसयएगूणवीसभाए जोयणस्स किंचिविसेसूणाओ आयामेणं पण्णत्ताओ। सव्वासु णं विजय- वैजयंत- जयंत अपराजियासु रायहाणीसु पागारा सत्ततीसं सत्ततीसं जोयणाइं उड्डुं उच्चत्तेणं पण्णत्ता ।
हैमवत और हैरण्यवत क्षेत्र का उल्लेख है । इनकी जीवाएँ सैंतीस हजार छह सौ चौहत्तर योजन और एक योजन के उन्नीस भागों में से कुछ कम सोलह भाग लम्बी कही गई हैं।

२३२- खुड्डियाएणं विमाणपविभत्तीए पढमे वग्गे सत्ततीसं उद्देसणकाला पण्णत्ता । क्षुद्रिका विमान प्रविभक्ति नामक कालिक श्रुत के प्रथम वर्ग में सैंतीस उद्देशन काल कहे गए हैं। In the Ist volume of the Kshudrika Viman Pravibhaktinama kalikshrut thirty seven udeshan kaal have been said.
२३३ - कत्तियबहुलसत्तमीए णं सूरिए सत्ततीसंगुलियं पोरिसीछायं निव्वत्तइत्ता णं चारं चरइ ।
सूर्य सैंतीस अंगुल की पौरुषी छाया करता हुआ संचार करता है लेकिन यह स्थिति कार्तिक कृष्णा सप्तमी के दिन होती है।
The sun moves reflecting the poarushi shadow of thirty seven fingers but this situation occurs on the seventh dark day of the month of Kartik.
