प्राथमिकी INTRODUCTION
प्रस्तुत उद्देशक में श्रमण के लिए राजपिंड को वर्ण्य बताया गया है। साथ ही साथ जो भोजन और राजा के द्वारपाल अन्य अनुचर, सैनिक, दास, घोड़ों व हाथी के निमित्त, अटवी के यात्रियों, दुर्भिक्ष व
दुष्काल पीड़ितों, गरीब व्यक्तियों, रोगियों, मेहमानों आदि के लिए बनता है उसे श्रमण को ग्रहण नहीं घर करना चाहिए। साधक के लिए राजा-रानी को देखने हेतु अन्तःपुर में जाने, शिकार आदि के लिए घर
गए हुए राजा का आहार ग्रहण करने, राजा के निवास स्थान के निकट स्वाध्याय आदि करने का भी र निषेध किया गया है। इस उद्देशक में श्रमण को चंपादि दस बडी राजधानियों में बार-बार जाने का सर भी निषेध किया गया है। जो साधक निषेध की अवहेलना करता है उसके लिा घर. प्रायश्चित्ते का विधान है।
· Rajpinda has been prohibited for a Shraman in this chapter. In the similar ways the Shraman should not accept food that has been prepared for the retinue and security guard, slave, for the King, for horses and elephants forest travelers, drought sufferers, poor, patients and guests. Entering into the palaces to see the Kings and Queens, accepting the food of the King who has gone for hunting and studying the scriptures near residences, of kings have been prohibited. The practiser who ignores the restriction is liable for a Guruchaumasi atonement. राजपिंड-ग्रहण प्रायश्चित्त THE ATONEMENT OF ACCEPTING THE ROYAL FOOD
1. जे भिक्खू रायपिंड गिण्हइ, गिण्हतं वा साइज्जइ। A 2. · जे भिक्खूरायपिंडं भुंजइ, भुंजंतं वा साइज्जइ। घर 1. जो भिक्षु राजपिंड ग्रहण करता है अथवा ग्रहण करने वाले का समर्थन करता है। पर 2. जो भिक्षु राजपिंड भोगता है अथवा भोगने वाले का समर्थन करता है। (उसे गुरूचौमासी घर प्रायश्चित्त आता है।)

विवेचन-राजपिंड आठ प्रकार का होता है-अशन, पान, खाद्य, स्वाद, वस्त्र, पात्र, कंबल, पादपोंछन। पहले व अंतिम तीर्थंकर के शासन में राजपिंड निषिद्ध है जबकि मध्य के 22 तीर्थंकरों के शासन में और महाविदेह क्षेत्र में निषिद्ध नहीं है।
