8 Comments—The word "Sagariyasantiya" is used for the Shayya Samstaraka which
is present in Upashraya. But the Shayya Samstaraka that has been brought from other HR place the term “Padihariyam" has been used for it. Either of them are returnable.
It is mandatory to seek the permission of the owner if the 'Shayya-Sanstarika" is to be moved to another house. The owner of the Shayya Sanstaraka, in general, donates it to be used in his own residence or to gives it seeing the staying place of the ascetic, so repermission becomes necessary. In taking it to some other place without proper permission costs the fault of stealing, and strong possibility of the faults of owners dissatisfaction, criticism, due to the scarcity of the Shayya Samstaraka etc remains there, so a laghu-masik expiation of it is said.

वा साइज्जइ। 3 54. जो भिक्षु प्रत्यर्पणीय (अन्य किसी से लाया) शय्या-संस्तारक ग्रहण करके उसे लौटाए बिना ही न विहार करता है अथवा विहार करने वाले का समर्थन करता है। और 55. जो भिक्षु शय्यातर के शय्या-संस्तारक को ग्रहण कर लौटाते समय पूर्ववत् रखे बिना तथा
