regard to Asanga's relationship with the Tantric practices. Though some stray references to māyā, māyāvin and māyāśāțhya may he traced, no direct or indirect relation of Asanga can be established on the basis of Tāranātha's statement which, itself, is unauthentic and comparatively of much later date and based on mythical and legendary tales.
Hence the author of the Sādhana No. 159 might be another author of the same name (Asangapāda) of a later date and belonging to the Tāntric tradition and thus different from Āryāsanga, the author of the YBS. and other Yogācāra works.

The idealistic and the subjective view-point of the Yogācāra system of Asanga incorporates and presupposes the subjective criticism, the logical accuracy and the critical view-point of the Ābhidharmika (Sautrāntika) systems on the one hand; and the dialectical precision, the concept of sūnyatā and its transcendent character along with the Absolutistic view-point of the
