For use in Jain Schools the Upadhyaya compiled a set of readers wherein he has combined sacred and secular instruction.
Upadhyaya Atma Ram Ji is a thorough scholar of Jaina literature not only on the traditional lines, but on the comparative lines also. Some years ago he published a valuable paper in the Hindi monthly "Saraswati" wherein he compared a number of passages from the Jaina Sutras with similar ones found in the Buddhist literature.
