योगशास्त्र अष्टम प्रकाश श्लोक ७६ से ८१ मोक्षलक्ष्मी का बीज माना है, जो जन्ममरण के दावानल को शांत करने के लिए नये मेघ के समान है, उस सिद्धचक्र को गुरु महाराज के उपदेश से जानकर कर्मक्षय के लिए उसका ध्यान करना चाहिए ।।७३-७५।। तथा
अर्थ :
|| ८४७ | नाभिपद्मे स्थितं ध्यायेदकारं विश्वतोमुखम् । 'सि'वर्णं मस्तकाम्भोजे, 'आ'कारं वदनाम्बुजे ॥ ७६ ॥ ||८४८ । 'उ' कारं हृदयाम्भोजे, 'सा'कारं कण्ठपङ्कजे । सर्वकल्याणकारीणि बीजान्यन्यान्यपि स्मरेत् ॥७७॥ नाभि-कमल में सर्वव्यापी अकार का, मस्तक - कमल में 'सि' वर्ण का, मुख कमल में 'आ, का, हृदय कमल में उकार का और कंठकमल में 'सा' का ध्यान करना तथा सर्व प्रकार के कल्याण करने वाले अन्य बीजाक्षरों का भी स्मरण करना चाहिए। वह अन्य बीजाक्षर 'नमः सर्वसिद्धेभ्यः ' है ।।७७-७६ ।। जिस मंत्र या विद्या के ध्यान से योगी रागद्वेष रहित हो वही पदस्थ ध्यान है।

।८४९। श्रुतसिन्धुसमुद्भूतं, अन्यदप्यक्षरं पद्म । अशेषं ध्यायमानं स्यात् निर्वाणपदसिद्धये ॥७८॥ अर्थ श्रुत रूपी समुद्र से उत्पन्न हुए अन्य अक्षरों, पदों आदि का ध्यान भी निर्वाणपद की प्राप्ति के लिए किया जा सकता है ।।७८।।

||८५०। वीतरागो भवेद् योगी, यत् किञ्चिदपि चिन्तयेत् । तदेव ध्यानमाम्नातम्, अतोऽन्ये ग्रन्थ-विस्तराः ॥७९॥ ||८५१ । एवं च मन्त्रविद्यानां वर्णेषु च पदेषु च । विश्लेषं क्रमशः कुर्यात्, लक्ष्मी (क्ष्यी) भावोपपत्तये ॥ ८० ॥ जिस किसी भी अक्षर, पद, वाक्य, शब्द, मंत्र एवं विद्या का ध्यान करने से योगी राग-द्वेष से रहित होता है, उसी का ध्यान ध्यान माना गया है; उसके अतिरिक्त सब ग्रंथविस्तार है। ग्रंथ विस्तृत हो जाने के भय से हमने यहां उन्हें नहीं बताया, जिज्ञासु अन्य ग्रंथों से उन्हें जान लें। मोक्षलक्ष्मी (लक्ष्य) की प्राप्ति के लिए इस तरह मन्त्रों और विद्याओं के वर्णों और पदों में क्रमशः विभाग (विश्लेषण) कर लेना चाहिए ।। ७९-८० ।।

।८५२। इति गणधरधुर्याविष्कृतादुद्धृतानि, प्रवचनजलराशेस्तत्त्वरत्नान्यमूनि । हृदयमुकुरमध्ये धीमतामुल्लसन्तु, प्रचितभवशतोत्थक्लेशनिर्नाशहेतोः ॥८१॥
अर्थ :
इस प्रकार मुख्य गणधर - भगवंतों द्वारा प्रकट किये हुए प्रवचन रूप समुद्र में से ये तत्त्वरत्न उद्धृत किये हैं। ये तत्त्वरत्न अनेक भवों के संचित कर्म-क्लेशों का नाश करने के लिए बुद्धिमान पुरुषों के हृदयरूपी दर्पण में उल्लसित हों ॥८१॥
।। इस प्रकार परमार्हत् श्रीकुमारपाल राजा की जिज्ञासा से आचार्यश्री हेमचन्द्राचार्यसूरीश्वर रचित अध्यात्मोपनिषद् नामक पट्टबद्ध अपरनाम योगशास्त्र का स्वोपज्ञविवरणसहित अष्टम प्रकाश संपूर्ण हुआ ||
