तुलियतवणिज्जकंती सयवत्तसवत्तनयणरमणिज्जा।
पल्लवियलोयणहरिसप्पसरा सरीरसिरी॥ आबालत्तणओ वि हु चारित्तं जणियजणचमक्कारं।
बावीसपरीसहसहणदुद्धरं तिव्वतवपवरं।। मुणियविसिमत्थसत्था निम्मियवायरणपमुहगंथगणा।
परवाइपराजयजायकित्ती मई जयपसिद्धा।। धम्मपडिवत्तिजणणं अतुच्छमिच्छत्तमुच्छिआणं पि।
महुरवीरपमुहमहुरत्तनिम्मियं धम्मवागरणं ।। इच्चाइगुणोहं हेमसूरिणो पेच्छिऊण छेयजणो। सद्दहइ अदिढे वि हु तित्थंकरगणहरप्पमुहे ।।
("कुमारपाल प्रतिबोध" कर्ताः श्री सोमप्रभाचार्य) श्री हेमचंद्राचार्य- व्यक्तित्व अद्भुत हतु। तेमनो वर्ण हेम जेवो तेजस्वी हतो. तेमनी मुखमुद्रामां चंद्रनी शीतळता वसी हती। तेमनां नेत्रो कमलसमां रमणीय हतां। तेमनी देहकांति लोकोना लोचनमां हर्षना विस्तारने पल्लवित करे तेवी हती। तेओ बाल ब्रह्मचारी हता। तेमनुं शुद्ध चारित्र लोकोने चमत्कार उपजावे तेवू हतुं। बावीस प्रकारना परिषहोने सहन करी शके तेवू अने तीव्र तपथी कसायेलुं तेमनुं खमीर हतुं। तेमनी बुद्धि जगप्रसिद्ध हती। परवादीओनो तेमणे पराजय को हतो। तेमनी कीर्ति दिगंतमां व्यापी हती। गंभीर अर्थनां शास्त्रोमां तेमणे अवगाहन कर्यु हतुं। मधु अने क्षीर समान मधुरताथी भयुं भर्यु अमनुं धर्म कथन मिथ्यामति जनोने पण धर्मबोध करावतुं। हेमसूरिना आ लोकोत्तर लक्षणो देखी कोई पण बुद्धिशाली मानवी ने आस्था बेसती के आपणे तीर्थंकर के गणधरों ने जोया नथी, छतां पण खरेखर पुरातन कालमा ते भगवंतोनुं व्यक्तित्व जगतमा सौरभ फेलावतुं हशे.
