सिद्धाणं बुद्धाणं के अर्थ
योगशास्त्र तृतीय प्रकाश श्लोक १२३ व नारीं वा अर्थात् पुरुष अथवा स्त्री को । जैनधर्म में पुरुष की प्रधानता बताने के लिए पहले पुरुष के लिए कहा है और | स्त्रियों को भी उसी भव में तारते हैं अथवा कर्मक्षय करके संसारसमुद्र को पार करके वे सभी मोक्ष में जा सकती हैं, यह बताने के लिए 'नारीं वा' शब्द ग्रहण किया है। दिगंबरजैन संप्रदाय में यापनीय तंत्र (संघ) नामक एक उपसंप्रदाय है, जो स्त्री को मुक्ति मानता है। वहां प्रश्न उठाये गये हैं,
क्या स्त्री स्वयं अजीव है?
ऐसा नहीं है।
तो फिर क्या वह अभव्य है?
ऐसा भी नहीं है।
उसको सम्यग्दर्शन नहीं हो सकता?
ऐसा भी नहीं है।
मनुष्य नहीं है?
ऐसा भी नहीं है।
क्या अनार्य रूप में ही उत्पन्न होती है?
ऐसा भी एकांत नहीं है।
असंख्यात वर्ष की आयुष्य वाली युगलिनी ही है?
एकांत ऐसा भी नहीं है।
क्या अतिक्रूरबुद्धि वाली ही है?
ऐसा भी नहीं है।
अशुद्ध शरीर वाली ही है?
सर्वथा ऐसा भी नहीं है।
क्या वज्रऋषभनाराच संघयण वाली नहीं होती?

स्त्री. धर्मप्रवृत्ति से रहित नहीं है, अपूर्वकरण गुणस्थानक की विरोधिनी नहीं है, अर्थात् वह स्वयं अपूर्वकरण वाली ही होती है, स्त्री में सर्वविरति रूप छट्ठे गुणस्थानक से चौदहवें गुणस्थानक तक होता है, नौवें गुणस्थान तक ही रहती है?
ऐसा भी नहीं है
वह ज्ञानादिलब्धिगुण प्राप्त करने में अयोग्य है?

तथा एकांतः अकल्याणपथगामिनी है ?

तो फिर स्त्रियां उत्तमधर्म (मोक्ष) की साधना नहीं कर सकती; ऐसा क्यों कर कहा जा सकता है? मतलब यह है कि स्त्रियां भी मोक्षमार्ग की साधना कर सकती है, और इसी भव में मोक्ष प्राप्त कर सकती हैं। कहने का तात्पर्य यह | है कि सम्यग्दर्शन प्राप्त करने के बाद उत्तमभाव से किया हुआ एक बार का नमस्कार ही संसारसागर से पार उतारने वाला है। जो भी स्त्री या पुरुष ऐसा उत्तम अध्यवसाय प्रकट करता है; वह उस अध्यवसाय से क्षपक श्रेणी प्राप्त कर संसारसमुद्र | से पार हो जाता है। इस तरह मोक्ष प्राप्त कराने वाले अध्यवसाय में नमस्कार कारण रूप है। फिर भी उपचार से कारण को कार्य रूप में मानकर नमस्कार ही संसार से पार उतारने वाला कहा है।
यहां प्रश्न होता है कि नमस्कार से ही मोक्ष मिल जाता है तो फिर चारित्रपालन का क्या कोई फल नहीं है? उत्तर में कहते हैं - ऐसा कहना उचित नहीं है, क्योंकि नमस्कार से प्राप्त होने वाला मोक्षप्रापक अध्यवसाय ही | निश्चय चारित्र है। सिद्धाणं बुद्धाणं सूत्र की तीन गाथा गणधरकृत होने से नियमित रूप से बोली जाती है, कितने ही साधक इसके अतिरिक्त इसके बाद दो गाथाएँ और बोलते हैं। वे इस प्रकार है
