It was reg arded as a triumph of the Jaina community and HV's journey from Gandhār to Ahmedabad and from Ahmedabad to Fatehpur via Mahiśāne (Mehsana) AnahilPatan Siddhapura, Mt. Abu, Śrīrohiņī (Sirohī), Rāṇapura, Medinipura (Medtā). Sāngānera and Abhirāmābāda was celebrated like a triumphal march, by the local Jaina communities. Acarya went to see Akbar for the first time on the 12th day of the bright half of JyesthaV. S. 1639. Akbar enquired about the reality of the nature of God, Guru (Spritual preceptor) and Dharma, which HV. explained to Akbar's satisfaction (HS XIV. 28-36) Akbar then enquired about the vows (vratas) to be observed by Jaina sages. HV succinctly explained those vows. (HS. XIV-38-61). After the discussion, Akbar offered (the Jaina section of) his library. But he grate fully declined that offer. (Other sources say that a library in the name of Akbar was established at Agra.) Suriji spent that Caturmasya (Four months stay in the rainy season) at Agra. Though our text is silent, Padmasagara's Jagadguru Kavya and Hemavijaya's Vijayaprasasti Mahākāvya mention that it was at the saying of HV that Akbar prohibited animal-slaughter during Paryusana Parva. Akbar was so much influenced by suriji that at his order he released all the encaged birds, freed all prisoners and prohibited fishing in the Dabar Lake near Fatehpura (HS. XIV 176-181).
