देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम् वाली तथा बाँये हाथ में नीलकमल को धारण करने वाली देवी को स्थापन करे, उसका दाहिना हाथ कमर पर रखा हुआ बनावे। एक पैर कछुए की पीठ पर
और दूसरा नागेन्द्र के मस्तक पर रखा हुआ बनाना । नृसिंह की बाँयी ओर शेष देव चार भुजा वाला बनावें, इसमें दो हाथ अञ्जलि बद्ध करें, ऊपर दोनों हाथों में से एक हाथ में हल और दूसरे हाथ में मुसल धारण किये कनावें।
___ I (Mandan), now expound upon the appearance of the Great Nri-Varah-the boar incarnation of Vishnu. His glorious face is like a boar in appearance, and he holds a mace and a lotus in his hands. His tusks hold Prithvi (the Earth) aloft (72b).
To his left, behind him (at the level of his eyebrow) place a goddess with remarkable and astonished large cyes holding a blue lotus in her left hand (73). Her righ arm should be depicted placed at her hip.
One foot of Varah should be. placed on the back of a. kurma (tortoise) and the other on the forehcad of Nagendra, the Lord of Snakes (an epithet. of Sheshnag) (74). The four-armed Shesh(nag) should bc portrayed with two hands folded in the anjali salutation and the two upper arms holding a Sheer (Sheer = snake/Secr = plough) and a musal or a pestic. (75).
अथवा शूकराकारं महाकायं क्वचिल्लिखेत्। तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रोग्रघोणास्यं स्तब्धकर्णोर्ध्वरोमकम् ॥७६ ॥ ..
अथवा सूअर के आकार वाली, बड़े शरीर वाली, तीक्ष्ण दाँत और तीक्ष्ण नासिका से युक्त मुख वाली, स्थिर कान वाली और खड़े बाल वाली वराह मूर्ति बनावें।
Or else make a statue of the form of a boar, with a great body and a head with sharp tusks, pointed nose (i.e. snout), fixed and immovcable cars and raised bristles (in order to depict Varah). (76).
