उनके चरण पर्वत, नगर, मगर, समुद्र, चक्र रूप उत्तम चिह्नों और
स्वस्तिक आदि मंगल चिह्नों से अंकित थे, उनका रूप असाधारण था, उनका तेज निर्धूम अग्नि की ज्वाला, विस्तीर्ण - फैली हुई बिजली तथा मध्याह्न के सूर्य की किरणों के समान था। वे प्राणातिपात, मृषावाद आदि आस्रवों से रहित, ममता-रहित, और अकिंचन थे, भव प्रवाह को उच्छिन्न कर दिया था - जन्म - मृत्यु से अतीत हो चुके थे, द्रव्यदृष्टि से निर्मल शरीरधारी, तथा भाव दृष्टि से कर्म बन्ध के कारण रूप उपलेप से रहित थे, प्रेम - मिलन के भाव, राग - विषयों के भाव, द्वेष - अरुचि के भाव और मोह - मूढ़ता / अज्ञान के भाव का नाश कर चुके थे, निर्ग्रन्थ प्रवचन के उपदेशक, धर्म शासन के नायक, उन-उन उपायों के द्वारा व्यवस्था करने वाले और श्रमण संघ के स्वामी और श्रमण संघ के उन्नतिकर्त्ता थे। जिनेश्वरों के ती बुद्ध वचन अतिशयों तथा पैंतीस सत्यवचनातिशयों के धारक थे ।

His legs bore the emblems of a mountain, a city, a crocodile, an ocean and a wheel, the very best among the emblems. His beauty had some speciality of its own. His glow was like that of smokeless fire, or an extended lightning or the rays of the early morning sun. He had absolutely stopped the inflow of karma, was wholly free from 'mine'ness, had no earthly belonging or attachment, no grief, with a pure body free from the bondage of karma, beyond affection, beyond attachment, beyond malice, beyond ignorance. He was the propounder of the nirgrantha tenets, the commander, the leader, the prescription-maker. He was the head of the order of the ( sramana) monks and nuns, all the while helping them to attain greater heights. He had at his disposal 34 super-human qualities, like the words of the Jinas, and another 35, like correct words.
