This world is 45 lakh yojanas in length and breadth with a circumference which is a little more than 14230249 yojanas. In the middle part of it, upto eight yojanas, its thickness is eight yojanas, and then, on both the sides, the thickness gradually declines so that at the two extremities, it is no bigger than the winglet of a fly. The thickness is no more than a fraction of the thickness of a finger.
ईसीपब्भाराए णं पुढवीए दुवालस णामधेज्जा पण्णत्ता। तं जहा-ईसी इ वा इसोपब्भारा इ वा तणू इ वा तणूतणू इ वा सिद्धी इ वा सिद्धालए इ वा मुत्ती इ वा मुत्तालए इ वा लोयग्गे इ .. वा लोयग्गथूभिया इ वा लोयग्गपडिबुझणा इ वा सव्वपाणभूयजीवसत्तसुहावहा इ वा।
ईषप्राग्भारा पृथ्वी के बारह नाम बतलाये गये हैं, जो इस प्रकार हैं
(१) ईषत्-अल्प, हलकी या छोटी, (२) ईषत्प्राग्भारा-अल्प बड़ी, (३) तनु-पतली, (४) तनुतनु - विशेष रूप से पतली,, (५) सिद्धि, (६) सिद्धालय-सिद्धों का घर, (७) मुक्ति, (८) मुक्तालय, (९) लोकाग्र, (१०) लोकाग्र स्तूपिका- लोकाग्र का शिखर, (११) लोकाग्र प्रतिबोधना-जिस के द्वारा लोकाग्र जाना जाता हो ऐसी, (१२) सर्व प्राण, भूत, जीव और सत्त्व सुखावह ।
This world named Işat prāgbhārā has twelve names, viz., Isat, Isatpragbhara, Tanu, Tanutanu, Siddhi, Siddhalaya, Mukti, Muktālaya, Lokāgra, Lokāgrastapikā, Lokāgrapratibodhanā and the giver of peace to all-one to four organ beings, five-organ beings, plant life and life that is immobile.
