karma, after which they may or may not have the obstruction from some disease, and they give up their food and drink, and having passed many days without food and drink missing maoy a meal, they too attain the goal for which they gave up clothing, etc., and at the time of their throwing out the last breath, they attain the supreme knowledge and faith, infinite, unprecedented, unobstructed, uncovered, complete and full, are perfected, till end all misery.
एगच्चा पुण एगे भयंतारो पुव्वकम्मावसेसेणं कालमासे कालं किच्चा उस्कोसेणं सव्वट्ठसिद्धे महाविमाणे देवत्ताए उववत्तारो भवंति । तहिं तेसिं गई तेत्तीसं सागरोवमाइं ठिई। आराहगा। सेसं तं चेव ॥२१॥
कई एक ही भव करने वाले अर्थात् भविष्य में केवल एक बार मनुष्य-शरीर को धारण करने वाले, भगवन्त-अनुष्ठान-विशेष का सेवन करने वाले, अथवा भयत्राता--संयम-साधना के द्वारा संसार-भय से स्वयं का परित्राण करने वाले ( श्रमण जिन के ) पूर्व संचित कों में से कुछ क्षय अवशेष है अर्थात् क्षीण होते हुए कर्मों में से अवशिष्ट रहे हुए कर्म, उन के कारण मृत्युकाल आ जाने पर मरण प्राप्त कर-देह त्याग कर उत्कृष्ट सर्वार्थसिद्ध महाविमान में देव. रूप में उत्पन्न होते हैं। अपने पद के अनुरूप वहां उनकी गति होती है। उनकी स्थिति-आयुष्य-परिमाण तैतीस सागरोपम प्रमाण बतलाई गई है। वे परलोक के आराधक होते हैं। अवशेष वर्णन पूर्ववत् जानना चाहिये ॥२१॥
